Model Issue

Hello, I am needing help with a simple problem i am sure. I am using DT’s model of the uboat.

I have it in the map as a misc_gamemodel. Now in the pics below you can see two shots of this sub looking around a wall. In the first the sub model is not there, but if you move another foot to the right, it apears out of no where. Can anyone tell me why it does this and how I can fix it.

Also, if i do just a bsp compile, it doesn not happen. It shows the entire time. But if I compile -vis -light then it disapears. Havent tried it with just -vis so im not sure if it is related to that or not. But hopefully someone can answer this. Thanks.

Perhaps the origin of the model is in another Vis portal that is not visible from where you are standing so the entire model is being culled. Try adding a hint brush that includes the center of the sub that is visible from that location.

Ifurtia, has the same problem in his map called, " Rochelle_a2 ".

I think reyalp told him to used an vis_dummy or something.

Can’t remember. But it did fixed the problem.

hrmmm… interesting as it is the same model too…

The hint brush did not work…maybe reyalp can shed some light on this to me. Thanks Crazy
