modding maps
well, people don’t like you editing there maps really, unless you ask for permission FIRST.
You edit maps when they have the .map extension in gtk radiant.
Once a map is compiled it is changed into a .bsp file, and thats what you find in the pk3 file.
so thats why opening bsp in gtk doesn’t work.
There is a way to decompile .bsp’s to .map’s but you’ll just have to search for it.
why don’t you just try and make something yourself, instead of editing other peoples maps?

ty Pegazus, and to some 1 eles question what i want to change is < Goldrush make more room and hiding places < Battery have a play around and make it more fair for both teams
soz for all the questions but like i say new, once ive done the maps how do i save them so they work in nq by default
When you are finished with the editing, you need to compile the map, then put it into a pk3 (with all the edited files) and then into the etmain folder.
hi me again( i no pain the arse arent i
) any ways ive now got bsp so i made a new file with pakskape and made it into a pk3 file and uploaded it but it doesnt show in the map list, plus i think i have gone wrong coz in the pk3 file the only file in it is the bsp 1
