ok there is a somekinda tut for player moddels… but how do I go from nice ammocrate in max 2 a ammobox_wm.md3 ??

download plug-ins …
export it …
first get plugins http://mojo.gmaxsupport.com/Sections/Plugins.html , if they will not work , try another
then import Stock ammobox as an reference model , it will help you…
then set material name as a shader path (so write for example ‘models/multiplayer/ammo/ammoskin’ , instead of materialxx)
export it , pack it with textures , enjoy it !

thnx I think this says it all… I’ve got some tips from fellow students from me school as well (gamedesign in Art ac. in the Netherlands…) But nobody plays ET over there all lame ass Cs’ers

hmz I downed the script… but when I run it in 6.0 nottin happens… cant import md3 or open them

EDIT: Ok been searchin the net andah the scripts are all for 4.x so now im fucked??? anybody got solution?

You could try to use gmax.
I think the script and tha plugin work also with gmax.

Ow btw I use pop’n’nfresh MD3 exporter plug in and it has a function export mats as shader paths… but when I open the md3 in Deep Exploration it doesnt recognize the texture

model is ingame already only the texture is not… and when I run the script NOTHIN happens no changes in max no errors

CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME? just wanna know how to make the moddel get the texture… UVW mappin is done… only it wont export right so it doesnt’recognize the skins…

The material name in max needs to be the pathname to the texture.

So, using Jaquboss’ example, rename the material in Max to ‘models/multiplayer/ammo/ammoskin’
