imo to be a good modder its not all about how well you know how to do everything needed to make a mod but on how determined and comited you are to learning it
if you expect to just post a message like this on a forum and hope for some magical answer then you might as well quit now. you havent even specified what area of modding you want to work in
a good place to start modding is level design so GTKradient is a good place to start looking www.google.com will provide you with many answers and the forums search function is very useful for thoes with patience
