Is that a bazooka in the last pic? It doesn’t look like a panzer, but he’s holding it the same way, and it’s got the panzer symbol…

Yeah, I haven’t done weapon icons for most of the weapons I have. There are more on the way, as well…

(I’d also like to make a note that I am not the only one working on these, several other people have modelled some weapons from scratch and textured them as well, I am just finishing up the final product they’ve given me and making it workable in game.)

Right now, it doesn’t look like there will be a PPSh unless there is a ton of demand for one.

But that means I’d have to get someone to model the other Russian weapons (at least some), and I don’t know if I can get someone to code those in for me as well (people are already having a hell of a time coding in the weapons I have now)…

You don’t need any other russian weapons. How many semi-automatic rifles do we need? Just do that one cause it’s a nice gun. Of course if you do decide to implement it you will need some axis gun to balance it out. I think the Italians had a large clip rifle that might work as a good counterpart.

A nice decent rifle would be good i think, 12 rounds quite accurate, sounds decent unlike the current ones! Possibility of bayonet?

how do you create weapons? do you need source code to do that?

You need the source to add them into the game (instead of replacing weapons, like just modelling a new Thompson.) I don’t have the source, and I couldn’t really do anything with it - others (bani) are coding these in.

You can only change the models, not the animations. You can’t add anything new (only change what currently exists, and only in appearance) without the source. Animation changes won’t be possible until animation tools have been released.

As well as opening it up for god knows how many Hackers. No, not the break into PC kinds, the kinds that make OGC etc. :stuck_out_tongue:

And tbh, which is one reason imo there isn’t as much cheating going on in ET, even non-PB servers… Notice any other game, esp Q3 ones that have released the code open source has been hacked silly? Only others I can think of that havn’t is Blizzard’s…
