MOA SNPR-1 vs Fel-ix

(Drac0rion) #1

So recently I’ve been switching around between the two sniper rifles and while the stats aren’t really too much off eachother, they still feel rather different.

There’s probably a good chance that it just feels different for me personally, but I feel like MoA responds better when I pull the trigger or maybe it just feels that I get a tiny delay when using Fel-ix.
Could it just be me imagining these differences just from the sounds? As in Fel-ix shots sound heavy and kinda clunky, while MoA shots sound rather clean or… how else would I describe it in comparison. (I studied in a music school for 7 years, so I might be a little sensitive about my audio taste.)

My stats with both of the snipers say that I should prefer the Fel-ix 48% accuracy vs 45% and both at 1.7kills per minute, which are probably really sad stats for someone with 47hours on Vassili. Of course I’ve also used MoA more, but that was simply because it was slightly superior to Fel-ix, which doesn’t really seem that way after quite some changes to the sniper rifles. But switching from Fel-ix to MoA just feels like a relief after a match with Fel-ix now. With MoA I feel I can aim more freely while pulling the trigger, while with Fel-ix for some reason I expect like a railgun shot that pierces through everything and has a huge recoil.

Would anyone care to share their experiences with both of these snipers, their differences? Which one you prefer?

Moa, just go with the Moa for the time being as the Felix just has 4 more damage and 1 more shot per mag going for it, every other stat is poorer by a lot.

The Felix originally did exactly 80 damage and had 2 shots less than the Moa if memory serves right but that damage was decreased to 79 because this was also a time where not many explosives mercs were available and the meta was to just go Aura, who just has 80hp and would go down with just one body shot.

There’s not much else one can say, besides the Felix having poorer sights but some justify it being an option because some Felix loadouts are quite nifty, but on a weapon to weapon comparison, Moa is much better.

I think the iron sight on the Fel-IX is worse, having a blank space in the middle of the scope with nothing but a dot?

The MOA has a cross that extends through even the centre of the screen, and I feel like this helps a lot.

To put it bluntly, the FEL-IX has nothing going for it over the MoA outside of two extra shots.

Your top end damage is 158 for the FEL, 150 for the MoA, with a body shot being 79 / 75. Neither gun can one shot Thunder, neither gun can one body-shot an 80 hp merc.

MoA has a fire delay of 1.200, FEL-IX has 1.300. MoA has a higher RPM by 4.

MoA reloads slightly faster (mostly due to smaller mag size I imagine).

FEL-IX suffers from completely random recoil from experience, sometimes your shot won’t even shake your screen, sometimes you shoot 45 degree upwards after the shot. MoA doesn’t do this, the MoA is far more consistent.

The only redeeming quality of the FEL-IX is the MP400 loadout, which also has Unshakeable, and even that is less useful now that Vas has 110 hp and can no longer be one shot by a few things.

moa is cooler because it kick less and cards have better perks, there is no felix and flinching card !

I didn’t think I’d notice the difference between 1.200 and 1.300 by so much.
Thanks for all the information.

For me the two are pretty similar but I feel I can be more offensive with the moa and more defensive with the felix
