mixing foghull with fur & water

(resumil) #1

I’ve been trying to mix foghull with terrain+fur and also water. While the foghull does its job with the terrain pretty well, neither water or fur seem to get culled properly. Any suggestion for a workaround?

Thx for the large font. First time i can read something on my computer without my glases.

c’mon guys! I’m sure any of you can give a hand with this :bump:

…and speaking of the font size, I believe most people here must be using 1600x1200 or similar screen res…

how do I delete this post? :banghead:

(resumil) #5

… oh, and this one too!

1600x1200 is a very high res. Most people don’t go over 1024x768 or 1280x1024 (that’s what I use). You also shouldn’t need to make your font size bigger in your posts if you are running in that resolution. You should set your browser and/or OS fonts higher instead of making the rest of us suffer for no reason.

Oh, and if you’re running in a resolution where you can’t read the font, that resolution is too high.

IExplorer text setting doesn’t always do its job. Anyway, sorry to make you suffer bud. It won’t happen againg, I promise :drink:

Back on the subject, I’m just dropping the foghull on my map. Unbelievable, but it will simply keep conflicting with the other stuff. Thanks anyway

to make your water blend with your fog, simply add the surfaceparm fog, and fog parms from your fog to the water shader

not sure if this will also work with fur, i’ve not tried it.

Yeah, the problem was only with a foghull shader present, regular fog works fine. Thanks for the tip

i’ve not been able to get furshading and fog hull to like each other.
