You get a %age XP bonus for using the wheel, to encourage communication. It’s not hugely significant, but it’s something.

People who don’t use the wheel don’t register on that system, but still get XP for their actions and XP for being close to objectives.
Aight, that makes sense

Thanks, Exedore :stuck_out_tongue:

(MatthiasK75) #23

or more, because if he knows it all, then he will know to use the wheel

What if you keep switching your missions using a wheel - will you be getting small XP every time you do it? (while camping somewhere…)

(DarkangelUK) #25

You need to do the objective to get the extra smidgen after it’s chosen, you don’t get it just for selecting it.

(Nail) #26

you have to complete the mission

(JeP) #27

Not in my example above. I think at some point I will try to do objectives without the wheel, and knowing that a little amount of XP is lost in the process will probably make me doubt about that… but I’ll see that when the game releases.

(A.i) #28

there is probably as much additional XP as if you hit some1 with a bullet though  I wouldn’t bother waisting time on the wheel in that case

That’s how it worked in ETQW, construct MG nest, 3XP, but you got 2 more if you picked it as your mission. There were some that were a little weird, if you captured a forward spawn everyone on your fireteam got an XP bonus for capturing it. I think this was intended to reward a group for a group goal, which makes sense, but you could be doing something completely different and you’d get it, while another guy who was halping defend it wouldn’t if he wasn’t on your fireteam. But they also had auto-fireteam where giys who selected the same mission would be put on the same fireteam. All gteat ideas and should be really fleshed out now with the second iteration we’re seeing in Brink.

Really looking forward to how they have tuned up the mission system.
