Missing x3daudio1_7.dll

Like the title says, I am missing x3daudio1_7.dll.

I have the latest DirectX as I have tried to down the latest one and a message popped up telling me I am up to date with my Windows 7 DirectX.

I just finished installing the game and wanted to play it, I click play and the error message tells me I am missing this .dll.

I would like to know if there are any solutions or is there a way I can or should download that .dll manually.

Whatever you do, don’t download the individual file from shady sites.

  1. Try restarting your PC, it might be that it’s because it’s a fresh install of the game that you need to reboot for it to properly work.
  2. Try downloading the latest DirectX and selecting the option to repair it.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the game.
