We had Ice, Foilage, even some rain and such. I think it would be cool to have a great mountain/volcano theme.

All I wanted in that old thread was to know if someone could make awesome-looking lava and shazmax sure has!
I think there are vulcanos in Italy? Shazmax, maybe your map can be set in that region (Pompejii-area)? Anyhow, the screens look cool! Eh, I mean HOT!
I’m busy with my two nintendo64-GoldenEye maps at the moment, so I wont make any lava maps this summer. Maybe later.

well for sure that lava looks great, but since ET is meant to be a ww2 related game, i wouldnt find it any good to walk on an old wooden bridge over some smoking volcano in every other map than a pure funmap. an italy-theme would be great, thinking of local trees, buildings… but i cant imagine the need of a lava tex if you can see volcanos only from the distance. SURE it looks great, but i really hope this will never find its way
into a serious map. laying with my mg42 just one step away migh look somewhat… odd…
but again: sweet looking tex!

Thnx for the feedback! The idea came from a drawing that I had made of an internal axis base that was stationed inside a living volcano. I was thinking that they could be using the volcanoes power in some unique way to generate enough energy (as one idea) or that there was hidden inside the lost remnants of the ark stationed inside a fall out shelter that was unfortunately abandoned due to it being stationed inside a mountain that was now a living volcano. Who knows…we’ll see what becomes of it. I like the pompeii’s idea. Could be that the axis have actually found the mojo of the italians…and are threatening to steal it. There would be no more disco in the future, gold chains, hairy chests, or low button collar suits.
