Minor suggestion about changing Stoker's merc name

(Tanker_Ray) #1

Just a simple idea of Stoker’s merc name.

I know Stoker does mean person who stoke fire, so it quite fits it’s concept,

but just in my opinion, I insist Scorcher would sound better.

I think it sounds more destructive, and well describes him as pyromaniac!

Even if it isn’t emphasizing the specific characteristic,

I’m quite sure the name Scorcher would explain how devastating the molotov is.

what do you guys think?

Do you boys and grills think we should focus on his smooth posh accent, or his violent-pyromaniac side?

Boys and grills? Dafuck?

I’d rather have it focused on the posh-british side of his if you ask me. That’s what makes him more special as opposed to the fairly cliché Manic Firestarter.

geez had to look up the meaning of stoke for this, it seems that stoking has connotations along the lines of starting and keeping things (fire) running. Considering Stokers role as a firesupport, he is not only starting and tending fires but also ensuring that the guns of his comrades keep on firing.
Therefore Stoker atleast to me makes alot more sense and is imo more fitting with his overal british politeness.

^What he said, Stoker is David Attenborough turned into an arsonist.

My stomach hurts from laughter, thanks

If he throws the molotov at a planted bomb, will it deal enough DoT to prevent obj specs to defuse it?

Because no waifu, no BBQ.

Oh man, you are so brilliant!

I didn’t knew his name could expose his class name! as, Fire Support!

Furthermore, I just find out that there is really a quote about this,

Stoker saying “Do you know the word ‘fire’ in firepower actually means the real fire?”

Thanks for helping me catching the ambiguous meaning of his name!

“You are all just fuel to me” -Stoker

Thought everyone knew what that meant.

To stoke a fire is to like poke it with a hot iron, get some oxygen up in there. So you know, fires, and stoker. In layman’s terms anyway.

(TheOrangePhantome) #14

@gg2ez Yup gameplay does come 1st.

(LANshark) #15

But nameplay is fun too. Let it continue; it does no harm.

(TheOrangePhantome) #16

TBH @LANshark i agree but i like Stokers name as it is.

Please tell me this is true. “Here we see an Vassili in his natural habitat… Oh my… He appears to be in pain… There’s fire everywhere…” XD
