Minimum Requirements for Dirty Bomb have Changed.

Here are the new minimum requirements:

https://support-dirtybomb.nexon.net/hc/en-us/articles/204853155-What-are-the-Minimum-System-Requirements-for-DirtyBomb-

There has only been one change, but it is a major one.

OS: Windows 7(64 Bit)

All other requirements are still the same as before.

32 bit OSs are no longer included in the minimum requirements to run DB. While the game may install and partially work on your system, it is very hit or miss. It has been decided due to the RAM requirements of DB to not support 32 bit.

Yesss, force out the 32bitters. Their time has come.

The minimum requirement should really be above 3gb of ram though, especially if you’re going to say 32bit isn’t supported because of its 4gb cap. If you take into account the average ram used by the OS as well as standard things people have open like web browsers you should really up it to at least 4. At least.

Good news to read now that I’ve spent my money to buy the Ultimate Starter Pack ! >:)

PS1: My OS is Windows 7 32 bits.
PS2: Remember to NEVER spend a coin in F2P games once again… :#

“I failed to read the requirements and test out the game before spending money in a F2P system.”

I didn’t fail to read the requirements:

I installed the game the 20th of February and the minimal requirement quoted on the official page was then Windows 7 32 bits.

I actually played and tested it and it runs fairly well with this Windows 7 32 bits.

Then it was changed there’s a few days around the 12th of June (if you can read the date on the first post of this thread).

So, as I like DB, I just worry for the future as I will no longer be able to contact the DB support as my OS is now definitly “under the minimum requirement”.
I also worry that one of these days DB will no more run on my rig because of its OS.

I’ve been already “trapped” recently by another F2P game (that I will not quote) for which I gave some money and played for several monthes. But after a while, the devs, suddenly and without notice, decided to change drastically the gameplay, making that game uninterresting for me (and a lot of others players as this game’s forum shows !).

That’s why I feel now a bit distrustfull about the F2P games…

So, to your scornfully:

Should I reply, on the same tone:

“I failed to get the point and then I wrote a comment slightly off beam” ?

original specs were Win XP 32bit or better, things have changed as they do in a Beta Test, now the requirements are 64bit, I’d also say the 3gig RAM is real light too, 4GB would be my minimum, more is better hence needing 64bit OS. Stuff happens

If it ran just fine before surely it still runs just fine now. The requirements are guidelines, I doubt - and if it then that’s hilarious - that the game actually prevents you running it if it detects a 32 bit system. Either it runs or it doesn’t.

Ok. Then this relieves me: thanks Ghosthree3 !

BTW, as stated in Nall’s comment, my “mistake” was to buy the Ultimate Starter Pack when the game was still officially in beta.

I should have wait for the official version.

But what I wanted then was to encourage the DB team by making a (even modest) contribution. As I feel that this is a good game which deserves it.

Perhaps my next move will be to change my rig for a more up-to-date one as mine is 5 years old (for most parts of it).
