[QUOTE=tinker;414159]Hey SinDonor.
Did you really expect that the multitask works so well with a game?
I had no Game with real performance that works like that.
Multitask for Rad soldiers for me usually only works when in main menu…
but im not aware of what the system can actually do and what not

I worked for an iOS game app company called Discovery Bay Games here in Seattle. Our games weren’t the dog’s bollocks, they were simple, but they worked. One thing about those games is that they remember exactly where you left off when you closed the app then came back in later (unless they crashed, which happened sometimes). They weren’t heavy action games, or live online games, but mostly “board” and trivia games or kids stuff. The reason we did this is because it is called out in the iOS guidelines from Apple and they have a pretty stringent QC dept:
When your app restarts, restore its state so that users can continue what they were doing. People should not have to remember the steps they took to reach their previous location in your app. To learn more about efficient ways to preserve and restore your app’s state, see “State Preservation and Restoration”.
RAD Soldiers has a lot of stuff going on visually and gameplay wise, but it’s not really “live action” when you’re playing. It’s being played locally and it’s turn-based. If I have to close out of my game to answer a phone call or an email, and then go back in, I would expect the game to be at the same state as I left it. To me, this is a bit frustrating especially if I’ve played 80% of a turn, moved most of the troops and did their actions. Now I have to do them all over again because I closed the app for 1 minute?
If it’s not worth or not possible to fix this type of bug, then oh well, it’s just a nuisance and players will learn to either finish their turn or if they HAVE to close the app, then they will play that turn over again. But if it’s fixable and deemed worthy, then I would recommend fixing it to provide, at a minimum, a better user experience.
