I wanted to hear what people do with mini maps as they play. Considering that enemies barely pop up on the map even when spotted and the fact that enemies are usually in your face in a heartbeat makes me think the map needs some type of “buff” where enemy signals stay up longer, or at least give some type of useful details.
Mini-Maps, does anyone use them?
I don’t even notice it, that all much. Only when I wanna check secondary objectives.
usually ehen i am running from spawn to see if i am alone, should i throw ammo etc

I use it to check my team position. To see which lane is empty and i will fill it.
-
To check 2nd obj status.
-
As a medic, keep track of people needs healing, reviving.

Pretty much this, nothing more to add.
Now all I need to do is to see through the effort of putting it where car’s rearview mirror is, upper right-ish side, thinking that might be a natural spot for it. Goddamnit do I miss it all the time having it bottom middle with all the ammo/hp I clustered up into. And don’t even get me started how uselessly it’s placed in default HUD.
Seems like good uses. Though I usually can get by visually since allies are always visible and they always show if they need health or ammo. Also, once again, lanes are hard to visualize minimap wise since no enemies will show up without the short period of time from spotting abilities.
The only occasion i find myself using is when i hear someone shouting in the mic asking for MaAAADIcCC!!!
I only use it when heartbeat is up or to find my idiot team who’re usually off somewhere else.
What’s a minimap? I haven’t seen one of those since the beginning of my time with DB. B)
never used it, didnt even know that the hearbeat sensor showed on the map. i always looked at the dots and used instinct.
Yeah. You casual! You’re probably a total noob!

Haha. I did turn it off back when the minimap was heavily linked to FPS stutters and despite that being fixed at some point I never turned it back on as I never really used it in the first place.
