Milkshape, only for making models, never to make images?

Hi!
I just downloaded Milkshape. It comes with a built in help-index, and I searched it, but I am still curious/confused about one thing: Can I use this free tool to make images/illustrations?
Below is a nice picture that someone (not me) made/exported from 3DstudioMax:

Is it possible to do the same in Milkshape? (Probably not, 'cos I cannot find any functions/menues for insert light, render or export image file.)
Or is it “only” for making models to be used in, for example, games?

Never thought about this until today, when it comes to Milkshape, and I want to know, so I thought I’d ask you guys.

As far as I know, milkshape can’t render images like 3dmax.
But I’m not 100% sure.

Yeah, you’re probably right.I mean, it would be to good to be true, if the FREE programme could do that too.

gmax can do it too i think and is free

GMax is free, but you need to create an account on TurboSquid for it.

Blender is nice as it’s freeware, but it’s kinda complicated. Once you get the hang of it, it’s damn good though.

Milkshape can’t do renders, as it’s designed as a standalone modeler tool.

Actually, it’s not a matter of the program you choose, it’s what you do with it.
Most programs can do those things, just spend enough time learning and doing it. But I know I didn’t.

This is correct. Milkshape 1.x doesn’t have anything like the rendering functions of Max.
