I’d say avoid jumping in without a parachute or safety net. You are off to a good start by coming here. If you get the game, my best advice is to follow the links provided, and join some of the others there so you start with a base of players. You’ve obviously heard all the bad press and to an extent its true. Trick with Brink is having 5-10 solid friends who play on a regular basis. This is not a 50 million sales COD fanbase, but a very small niche new IP. Brink is a game that has a wagon train of baggage and negative following. So your best bet to have a fun experience is to find like-minded folks who still play and enjoy it. Renting it is tough because it has a steep learning curve and is hard to pick up in a rental period, so I’d discourage that. Not a Gamefly Rental.
Well, Look at it this way. Sales and quality aside, It’s still probably not as bad as Call of Duty is. I’m trading SOCOM 4 to get this, So it’s probably an upgrade either way, And hey, If it does turn out to be a dud, I always have UC3 and BF3 to look forward to :D.
I think I will pick this up today, See you guys online, and thank you for all the help
