I just wanted to confirm if this was a NAT issue (I have a wireless NAT type 3 connection — I’ve tried all the “open” access tricks for the PS3 but none have changed it. Though, as a note, I haven’t called my ISP to build a bridge) or not. I haven’t played Brink in a while, but I came back once I saw there was another patch and clan support on the way. I’ve never had this issue with any other game’s online multiplayer outside of Little Big Planet, so I wondered.
Basically, the persisting problem that’s kept me from playing online is that from mid-match (mostly here) to the end of the match, my connection will just suddenly out of the blue go from green level to pure red or completely empty (either way the match becomes unplayable due to the lag delay slideshow).
I’ll look at the connection of other players; I rarely if ever see them with this problem. The odd part is this doesn’t always happen, however. I can sometimes play one entire game without the crippling lag. However, I’m almost always booted from the next match due to the above issue.
I played a round today; it occurred in the final three minutes of Aquarium at about a 5v5 Resistance-Security ratio.
