Mic issues

(Stokes) #1

Anyone else having problems with using their Mic in game and not being heard? It show when I hit the X button to talk but no one can hear me. I use TeamSpeak with my friends in other games and they can hear me just fine, so I know it isn’t my Mic.
Sometimes when I hit the X button it won’t show that I’m trying to talk but after a few minutes when I try again, then it shows me trying to talk but no one can hear me. Kind of frustrating trying to communicate with your team because this game is so fast sometimes typing just isn’t an option.

People could also have Voice disabled but in General the Voice Ingame is just bad and needs some Love.

It’s been like that since ever. Has been pointed out to SD and discussed here several times but apparently not been considered to be worth fixing.

Global mute always. One of the first things I did in June 2015, before I even got into my first game, was mute all voice chat. I think there was an update in 2016 and re-enabled it and… oh man… it was such a mistake. I think I lasted 3 rounds before I was almost insane and had to global mute again.

This should honestly be item #1 in every newbie guide.

Pretty much 99% of the time when anyone uses their mic in-game the sound is so low anything they say isn’t even close to audible. Voice is broken and kind of always has been.

Ingame-voice beeing to quiet is a known bug for three years±, now. Will probably be fixed, soon™.

It’s annoying when I can’t talk to my teammates, because you get so caught up in the action and for me trying to type without getting kicked sucks. It shows me trying to talk but no one can hear me :frowning: I’ve tested my mic in other games and in TeamSpeak and it works just fine. Was just hoping there was some sort of work around because in the beginning when I first started playing it worked.

Sometimes, SD approaches baffle me.
