MG nests - Not effective enough to be worthwhile

(wurzle) #1

Just a quick piece of gameplay feedback:

I’ve found the MG nests to be totally worthless. The spread on fire is so wide that you can’t take someone down unless they’re at short range, and almost all of the static guns are placed to only have good medium and long range firing angles.

I’d like to see a rework of the MG damage/spread to make these static defenses more valuable.

+1 and they need zoom

Really? I find that they do their job. They either:

A) Dominate a single target with burst fire

or

B) Keep those pathetic monkeys from reaching the objective by suppressing them.

Always seems to work until some light-weight comes and knocks me off…

think they are pretty bad, if they dont get a small damage buff, they need slightly less recoil spread as the OP says. only on some maps where the location they point to is really close up do they actually handle things well.

i think they need both the spread is ridiculous and the damage is lower than the weakest gun after rank 2 everyone knows it too so they dont get suppressed the just run at you

MG Nests: I have not had a problem with them from either side. When using them, they’re a LITTLE tricky to aim and that’s frustrating but once I get on target they mow enemies down. When against them, I can usually shoot them off the MG with the help of my ACOG Rokstedi.

In my experience so far it is fine, it does its job.

And there is no need for zoom, i can shoot far targets just fine, zoom is pointless and with it, it would be a little overpowerd IMO

My issue is that the aiming reticule does not accurately display the spread of the weapon. If I could see where my shots could hit, like other weapons, I could burst fire more accurately.
