The idea of an aoe slow isn’t out of the question, given Thunder’s past results. It would have to be implemented in an interesting way, though. Wall jumping is important, but removing that from an entire area creates a better aoe denial than most engie mercs, assuming someone is nearby.

the “airstrike” of this merc does no damage after the initial blast wich is 40 dmg
so comparing this to skyhammer is not exactly right since skyhammer doesn’t do are denial
i would however compare it to stoker as thier cooldowns are similar and i actually worry crystal might be a better stoker since going in the ice with ennemies around is a death sentence and it has a larger AOE

also @JJMAJR i perssonaly don’t think stoker is similar to skyhammer aside from weapons,hp and speed as skyhammer does an airstrike in a line exterminating everything in its way however with over a minute of cooldown
while stoker throws a molotov wich lasts for about 10 secs while it is not as destructive as the airstrike it is better at locking routes and it has a 40 secs cooldown only
also arty is also diffrent from skyhammer as his strikes have a fairly small AOE however they can be used more often wich means they need to be used more precisly to cause the most damage

while the fire supports weapons hp and speed makes them all sound similar on paper thier ability makes them have completly diffrent playstyles

skyhammer bieng able to wipe out and entire team however his ability has a really long cooldown while he can still use it like some sort of grenade indoor it’s really not effective compared to molotov

arty having very small very precise airstrikes with more charges makes him perfect for making the ennemy panic and get them out of cover however can’t be used indoor

stoker bieng able to lock down a route with his molotov and can be used like grenades indoor

Meh, pretty good idea, the only thing that bothers me is… C’mon, ICE device is way to simple do some thing like: ESD (Endothermic Strike Device) also the Famas is a really REALLY suggested weapon, but meh, i’d like to see it ingame.
