Merc with animals?

(murkyBacker) #1

Maybe dogs?
Can immobilize the enemy or attack them
or Raptors? (probably just 1)
or Bunnies with laser beams attached to their heads?
Just throwing it out there, merc with animals just popped in my head

(neverplayseriou) #2

A dog that ‘disables’ mines and turrets maybe?

(Samniss_Arandeen) #3

I doubt controlling the animals would be the most intuitive thing in the world. May be a fun idea in concept, I shudder to think of the implementation.

(gg2ez) #4

@Samniss_Arandeen you shudder at lots of things.

(Samniss_Arandeen) #5

Well, not as much as my reactions to various posts on various fora would have one believe.

@Samniss_Arandeen noted. I also updated my teleporting merc to what you said.

make the dog scout out deployables and give them a different detected warning

Vassili called, he wants his ability back.

DEPLOYABLES

([TDBF]Robob) #10

have you ever done anything with your life? vietnam war bombs not made of metal so detectors wouldnt detect it so they got dogs to sniff it out

DEPLOYABLES[/quote]

If I see a group of enemies congregating in one place, chances are there’s at least one deployable there. It’s the single easiest way to predict enemy movements and prepare to push back.

The best way to see these congregations? Vassili’s Heartbeat Sensor.

([TDBF]Robob) #12

yeah but will the enemy team be crowding around a well hidden mine?

(Samniss_Arandeen) #13

Should there even be an ability to reveal well-hidden mines? It defeats the purpose. Someone could be the #1 Proxy in the world, hide their mines, and here you come with one keystroke completely ruining that. It’s already bad enough that in high level play, mines are more of a minor annoyance than a lethality.

(gg2ez) #14

How the f*ck does this have anything to do with his life?

If you implement an ability to detect well hidden mines they have no purpose being well hidden. I’m going to assume scout dogs can be shot as well so there’s no way a scount dog is getting anywhere near an important team deployable especially if that deployable is a turret.

([TDBF]Robob) #15

yeah proxy would become a little underpowered… and i have a gold card so forget everything i said

(gg2ez) #16

I’ve got Cobalts m8.
