Melee : Football - Turbo can punch the football on the enemies
Damage (Left Click): 30
Damage (Right click): 55

Other available melee weapons : Beckhill combat knife & Cricket bat.

Bio : Ryan ‘Turbo’ Taylor, Born in New York , was a 30 year old American football player ( position - HalfBack) participating in the 2020 NFL finals match at London during the Dirty Bomb strike . Even though he manages to escape from the disaster , his family who came to watch the game gets killed . After recovering from his loss , he decides to fight his way through . He himself designed an advanced boot which can make him sprint at high velocity . His abilities were soon discovered by ‘Jackal’ and decides to train him to become a Mercenary .
Extra info :
-He was trained by Thunder
-His EMP launcher (BOLT) is designed by Sparks .

Ability 1

KICK : Turbo can pull out his EMP rocket launcher . EMP ( ElectroMagnetic Pulse ) upon impact with a solid object , disables all enemy equipments and deployables in its blast radius , while doing no splash damage to the enemy’s heath.
Blast Delay after impact: 0.7 sec
Blast radius : ~120m ( 1.5 x higher than a frag grenade outer blast radius )
Damage to enemy on direct hit : Body - 70 , head - 140
Damage to enemy on indirect hit : 0
recharge : 35 sec

Quote: when direct hit on an enemy - ( sings )" Move bitchh… Get outta the way… "

Main Usage
-Damage EV : 300 ( 2 hits to take down )
-Damage Generator : 300
-Disable all enemy deployables ( Turret , mines , Healing Station , Ammo station etc )

BOLT : Turbo activates the high velocity sensors in his boots , which allows him to sprint at high speed for 5 seconds .
Sprint Speed ( boosted ) : 490 ( 500 if running with football )
Duration:5 sec
cool down : 35 seconds
When Velocity is activated a green neon trail follows the merc ( as shown in image )
Shooting any weapon during this ability will disengage ‘Bolt’

Quote 1: "Its… Turbo time "
Quote 2: "Come… catch me now !! "

Main Usage :
-Quick charging towards a distant enemy
-Escaping from fire fight / from enemy AoE abilities
-Flanking

Um - the art and abilities are cool. Just not sure how well a football themed merc would synergise with the rest of the mercs, whom are each very combat themed.

i…sorry, but i fail to see how a rugby football ball(that sounds weird, and probably incorrect) can deal any damage whatsoever.

for the first ability, well…its a bit OP. sure, there’s airstrikes and the orbital lazor can kill the EV in one hit use, but so far, there arent any generators with the open sky over them outside of the tunnel generator on terminal on the second obj, which in my opinion usually isnt vital enough for a skyhammer or kira to use their abilities on. better to get a speedy prox on it than push out and risk enemies slipping by.

EMP ideas are rpetty frequent, though i think you’re the first guy to suggest anything other than basically directional hacking and grenades.

as for ability 2, well, im awful touchy with new movement stuff. i did make a sort of suggestion for a slide ability, but thats it. i mean, even what’s basically a sprint boost can mess some things up. myself doing the odd trick jump in pubs already screw up some awful well-placed spawn camps, especially when i can do them consistently and enough teammates happen to spectate me to know how to break over the enemy line.

however, it doesnt seem like there’s anything else outside of faster sprint, no damage when colliding with an enemy, no damage resistance, and most of all, no bloody effin’ shield out of GR Phantoms. seems cool enough. i wont use it personally though.

i do have a question though, will ability 2 be cancelled if he jumps?

Ability 1 : Yes you are correct , it can disable generators faster . But it cannot kill any Mercs (unless a direct hit , which is very hard ) .While the other mercs have AoE abilities with can hurt/kill people + Disable EV and open roof generators.

Ability 2 : The sprint boost is not actually too focked up . Basically with an HP of 140 ,you move like Aura ( a bit faster than her duh ).So you can still do the trick jumps easy enough even if its active.

No , it cancels only if you fire the gun or stop moving .

He is not designed for a perfect killer . But his Movement ability can get him in and out of firefight easily . Damage resistance / Damage when colliding would make it a bit OP in my opinion .

Thanks for the response . And yes , he is kinda different. At first , i did it on purpose since whats the point of making everyone look the same . But after reading your comment i think i should have added more Military items attached to his body to make him more like a ‘Mercenary’ !! xD A few more armours attached to arms and legs would be more cool .

He is not well equipped for a firefight , but still he got some armours for combat xD
If you have seen an american bootball before , you already know that there is a lot of combat involved .They are well armoured for the fight . for eg :

The cloth is worn above this armour.
I’m not saying this armour can stop bullets , but i think he is more armoured than Nader.

Anyways, even though he is more armoured than Nader, he still looks very civilian. I like doing clothing sketches, I’m not too good at them, but if you want me to see if I can make a footballer look merc-like, I can always give it a try.

Yeah, I know Rugby is a totally different sport - just saying that it’s super hardcore.

XD just made a merc around that speed idea. :stuck_out_tongue: I would literally go with any merc with an EMP. It’d be so useful.
