Merc rotation time?

Does the free merc rotation has a fixed time or do you change them randomly at some point?
And if its a fixed point, when can we expect new free mercs?

it will probably become more regular in the future, as now its often tied to patches, new releases, etc.

I think once the DB team releases more characters they will start doing the every week thing.

For now, if rotations go on for a week it will make it noticeable that there ‘aren’t enough mercs’ and the community will beg for more, which puts pressure on the dev team’s heads.

Completely understandable at the moment in my eyes.
