that’s not what the rotation is for, it’s for the devs, afaik, it generates much needed data for ECHO to analyze

I don’t remember who said it around here or whether I heard it suggested on some random YT video, but I agreed and would love to see some sort of daily/weekly merc renting system. With that, they could scrap the rotation model and presumably generate more interest on certain mercs and thus earn more money. It could be as simple as someone paying ‘x’ amount of credits or completing ‘x’ amount of matches to temporarily unlock a merc. Billy Joe would no longer have to sit around staring at that unlocked Phantom pondering whether he’d like him or not whilst waiting for him to be in rotation. He could rent him, piss his pants from excitement after that first sword kill, and immediately buy Phantom that day. Implementing something like this would also reduce the amount of ‘cancer lobbies’ during bad rotation weeks with Rhino, Nader, Redeye, and so on.
