Merc "perk" Idea's

Just thinking of some nice perks each merc could use. Bare in mind, they need to keep the game balanced. You don’t want 5 v 5 all using the SAME perks. Same goes for Public play!

  • Adrenaline - While many of you will instantly look at this under bad light, due to many coming from ET. But my idea would be to have adren for mercs but they GIVE the adren to other members of their team. They are unable to use it on themself. Basically just speeds up the merc and gives them a slight resistence against damage.

  • Trip Mine - Able to be placed in doorways and you can see a slim wire connecting it. Very similar to landmines just looks and acts slightly different.

  • COD4 Style UAV - When used, you get to see the enemy (only the ones outside) on your minimap. Simple to use and can be used to give your team a nice advantage.

  • Disguise as Enemy - Used either by stealing dead enemies uniform OR used like the camo is used on the newest recon merc.

  • Flak Jacket - Recieve less damage from bullets to the chest and explosions.

  • Decoy Granade - Makes an enemy appear on the minimap. Also makes a right bloody noise!

  • Assasinate or Neck Breaking! Can be used only from behind players. To be made slightly MORE effective than using your knife.

  • Different Boots - To give you a slightly faster sprint speed or quiter walking.

Bare in mind, these were thought up quite quickly and I will be adding to them. Any ideas of your own post post post! I will be making a “weapon” style topic next week.

When you say perks do you mean CoD style perks?

Don’t UAVs use advanced infrared optics which allows them to spot targets inside? :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, for perks I’d rather see small passive buffs that improve as you gain xp and reset after each round.

They will have ultimates for… well these kind of things like UAVs and rockets.

I think first you have to explain what exactly you mean by “perks”. Can’t comment otherwise.

knife already 1shots from a backstab, not sure how much more effective you can make that

The animation of neck breaking gives a more satisfying and manual feel to the kill. Think MGS.

I like all of these ones. I’m against adrenaline, silent footsteps and the UAV.
