Hi again
So if you are reading this chances are you read my first post about Peirce the arrow shooting Irish scientist I made last week. With the popularity of that post and the great feedback I got from all of you previous readers I have now made an updated version of Peirce for all of you to enjoy. Now If you have reed the post before I will tell you what thing I have changed here in the beginning so you don’t have to read everything again. Peirce is a recon merc that specializes in giving his a team a tactical advantage by revealing his enemies with the help of science and his trusty bow.

Peirce’s main weapon is his compound bow. Whats special about this weapon is how its rate of fire works. When you press left click Peirce starts charging up the shot. After charging it for 2 second the shot will deal a maximum of a 200 damage, but if the shot is charged for longer then that the damage will decay until it only does 30 damage. Remember that Peirce’s arrow will travel straight for about 450 meters but during the last 50 meters the arrow will start to fall and decrease the hight its at. You can also shoot without charging. If you do, the arrow will deal 50 damage but the shot will be less accurate then a charged shot. Peirce will always keep 3 arrows in his hand so he can more easily shoot more efficiently. The charging mechanic will be indicated by a bar under the crosshair.

This was suggested by a few old readers that felt that he would be underpowered and less useful then a Vassili, but the arrow will start to fall of in hight after 450 meters. This change can be removed buts it’s there just so that Peirce won’t just instakill a Rhino at 500 meters. Range has now also been given. Peirce will now always keep 3 arrows in his hand so he can more easily shoot more efficiently, when he reloads he will pick up 4 new arrows and keep one in his bow ready for using.
As a secondary Perice can equip the following weapons:

And for melee weapons Perice can equip the following melee weapons

His base loadout will be the following:

Perice’s answer to a recon ability is his shrapnel arrow. The arrow itself can not deal any damage but when the arrow hit any surface the arrow will explode and launch pieces of radioactive shrapnel that stick onto his enemies and will stay there for 25 seconds. When an enemy is hit with one of these tiny pieces of metal all healing that player receive will be reduced to only 25% of it’s original amount and all regenerative healing like Auras healing station won’t heal anything. And as a little extra surprise Peirce has a extra bonus effect in his second ability.
// So almost everyone that commented on my last post said that this ability was underpowered since it had such a small radius and no extra effect. So I decided to up the radius to somewhat bigger then an Arty strike, add a second stack of the ability ,and add the healing reducer effect as some of you suggested. Originally someone suggested that negating all healing would be the best but i felt that would make the ability a bit overpowered. So instead only I made it this way. Hopefully this will make this merc more viable.
Radiation tracker:
Button: E
By pressing E Peirce activates his radiation tracker. It takes 3 seconds to activate it but when it is every enemy hit with his shrapnel arrow will be reveled for as long as the duration stands. Note that Peirce can’t fire any of his weapons but he can move at normal speed and sprint.
// Now. Here was the big one. Together with the shrapnel arrow this was the biggest thing people wanted to be changed. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE said that the radiation tracker was underpowered and I fully agree. Originally the tracker would only track someone as long as it was equipped, but now I feel really happy with the ability. It has the same feel as the old ability (in my opinion) and is more viable. Together with the fact that the shrapnel arrow has gotten a buff I think this is the best version of these abilities so far.
