Plotting a military coup d’état is one surefire way to make you an international fugitive, no one knows this better than contracted assassin Pegasus.

Pegasus jets into battle with her state of the art, kind of stolen whilst on a mission, Advanced Mobility Suit! The AMS functions on high powered electrical Ion thrusters - it allows Pegasus to distinguish herself with movement more dynamic and fluid than any other merc out there.

Pegasus has 110HP and 440SP.

Primary Ability - AMS
The AMS has a very intuitive control schematic. It can assist the user in performing various movements. These movements and controls are -

  • Glide - The Ion thrusters on the AMS activate, allowing Pegasus to Glide over the ground at a speed of 540SP. (Shift+WASD)
  • Wall Run - Allows Pegasus to run across walls. (Shift, Jump onto a wall)
  • Jet Jump - The Jet Jump propels Pegasus in an upward motion with a large arc at a speed of 550. (Jump, Shift)
  • Jet Leap - The Jet Leap is like a long jump, except in this instance Jet Leap can propel you far enough to back-flank the enemy. It propels Pegasus forwards at a speed of 560(Shift, Crouch)

Now, the AMS may sound quite useful, but it does have weaknesses. The AMS carries 100 units of fuel, different movements drain the fuel much faster others.

  • Glide uses 5 units of fuel per second. (20 seconds of Glide per tank)
  • Wall Run uses 10 units of fuel per second. (10 seconds of Wall Run per tank)
  • Jet Jump uses 40 units of fuel per use. (2 per tank)
  • Jet Leap uses 80 units of fuel per use. (1 per tank)

The AMS looses 20 units of fuel if it collides with anything whilst Gliding, Jet Jumping, or Jet Leaping. It regerates fuel at a rate of 5 units per second - refill only activates after 8 seconds of no-use.

Secondary Ability - Supernova (suggested by @Samniss_Arandeen )
Pegasus uses all of her AMS fuel and forms it into a single ball that she tosses at the enemy, on impact with a surface, the Supernova ball will explode into hundreds of blue flames. Supernova requires 100 units of fuel to use but has a cooldown of 1 minute.

Pegasus uses SMGs, Pistols, and melee.

@derpypenguinz19 Thanks! Grapple is pretty mobile too so I think these two mercs could work together like bosses.

I don’t see this really working unless every map in the game was designed in a way that would make sense for her, as with the current maps there would little to no usability for the wall run or jet jump

Also, how would the ability work, as the controls overlap with existing ones like sprint and long jump? Would it be something you turned on with either the Q or E button and then sprint, long jump, etc. would be turned off?

Terminal - the defending team’s sniper battlements (first area) could be jumped up to or wall ran up to. The second area’s blocker carriages can be jumped on top of for aa vantagepoint, MG nest in second battlements can use this too. You can also traverse the hallway outside of first spawn area blazingly quick.

Chapel - Long stretches of road for the EV to travel can be leaped on pretty much from one side to the other, giving you an excellent flank opportunity. Flying into the delivery point at the last area to make a swift capture, getting out of spawn quickly, launching aerial barrages on enemies. Jumping out of the way of an Airstrike marker. Dodging Martyrdoms, Proximity Mines, Sticky Bombs, ect.

Underground - Wallrunning paradise. Jumping out of the top of the first room, surprising the sh*t out of snipers.

Bridge - Wall running or jumping onto the railway bridge, the concrete bridge, or leaping into rooms to steal the samples. Using it to defend by chasing thieves to the container and nailing the living sh*t outta them.

Trainyard - Doing everything.

What have I missed?

Controls are toggled on/off by [Q].

Basically, Pegasus just makes way more places accessible in the map and is an overall way of cutting down travel time.

She has 110HP, no real offensive abilities and can pretty much only function if you know how to use a gun well. I think 110HP is fine.

Pegasus can throw her AMS as a bomb! The more fuel the AMS has remaining, the larger/more powerful the explosion. For the next fifteen seconds, she has no AMS at all, but once it cools down, it returns completely fueled.

It’s just like sprinting only faster and slightly elevated from the ground. If you really wanted to, you could use it like a Dash. @TheOrangePhantome

@gg2ez This may be a bit late to the party, but how about changing the supernova to a kamikaze esque ability that blows up with a bigger explosion than intended for the throwable one, but kills her at the same time. I think this would be really cool and would fit her playstyle, as she could just use one of her abilities to get right in the middle of a group of enemies and then blow them up. Maybe you could base the size and damage of the explosion, on how much fuel she has left?

Nah, imagine how much people would complain about it. You see, there are some people in the forums (not you) that really hate Martyrdom, imagine how bad it would get if there was an actual kamikaze merc.

I feel this could be easily avoided by, assuming we use the damage proportional to fuel suggestion, serverely nerfing the damage of the explosion if you have less that say, 25 unit of fuel, as it would prevent people from Jet Leaping into a crowd and killing everyone, as a Medic could just heal them all back up to full health

@sentimentalDime then what’s the point? I wouldn’t sacrifice an entire life if I wasn’t guaranteed to take one. I’d rather just wait for the AMS to regen fuel and take another 3 lives by leaping behind them and shooting them in them in the back of the head.
