Appearance- Wears a ragged, hooded cloak and a form fitting face mask with an oversized, sharp toothed smile painted on the mouth area. Underneath is military grade body armor with knee pads and a utility belt. He also wears the typical fire support gloves, but they have silver circuitry on them that runs down the fingers and intersect in a ring in the middle of the palm.

Primary Ability- Hardlight Revolver
CD- 10-30
Duration- 3 shots
Do you know what happens when you focus sunlight on an ant? That’s what’s going to happen to you.
Outrider opens his hand and a revolver made of hardlight appears out of the glove’s circuits. The revolver deals 40 damage per shot and has high accuracy and range comparable to assault rifles, but fires at a very slow fire rate of 125 RPM. Holding down the trigger will increase the damage (up to 110) and add an AOE effect with high damage in the center, but it drops off rapidly.

Secondary Ability- Swarm Grenade
CD- 35 sec
Duration- 5 sec
You’re all just digging a hole for yourselves!
Outrider throws a orb of hardlight that shatters into several small, flying bits that buzz around in a small area, roughly twice the size of a health station’s aura. Enemies inside the swarm are slowed down by 25 units and take 50% more damage from the hardlight revolver. If the EV is within the radius of the swarm, it takes double damage from the revolver.

Tertiary Ability- Ammo Stash
CD- N/A
Duration- Passive
If you’re out of ammo, then come to me.
Outrider passively gives a magazine of ammo for all nearby allies every 4 seconds via hardlight projector tech. For himself, he gets a mag every 12 seconds.

Weapons- KEK-10, SMG-9, Hochfir SMG

Ugh…i am tryign to do more positive commentaries… but …UGH!..ARGH!!!

1-she cant heave 2 abilities and the ammo. its way to much! especal with 120 hp
2-the revolver is ALMOSt balanced ALMOST, and is clrealy a Destiny fanboyish thing
3-the Swarm granade which also seems to be a Destiny thing, its annyoing and wyat to strong, also considering it would have 3 total abilities.
4-the ammo stash which makes less sense than the gunsligner revolver there. is the only “balanced” thing i would mark.

And gg before you get angry at me for gicing negative feedback. SOMBODYS GOTTA DO IT!

Thank you for the feedback.

  1. Phoenix has a healing pulse, defibs, and the self-revive and is still balanced. 120 HP is typical for Fire Support mercs. Arty, Skyhammer, and Stoker all have 120.

  2. If you think it’s unbalanced, then please specifically tell me why and suggest a change instead of just saying “it’s unbalanced”. And yes, I know it’s similar to Destiny’s Gunslinger subclass, but the similarities end there.

  3. Annoying? It’s really only a detriment to Fragger and Rhino. If Proxy was slowed, then she’d move as fast as Phoenix- which is still pretty damn fast. Even then, people are only slowed within the effect of the grenade anyways. Fire supports are characterized by high damage, AOE abilities that temporarily deny ground and effectively damage the EV, which is what his combination of abilities does.

  4. Let’s just say that the stash pumps out some hardlight ammo, OK? The tech really doesn’t matter- I mean, seriously, how many drones does Skyhammer have on standby anyways?

1-But one HE IS a medic, he heals not kills. she has 120hp and more killing potential than other mercs

2-its almsot unbalanced the initial 40 damage for a qucik shot its fine but the 200 damage with AOR is already abusive considering you could use it at a further range and inside buldings. And a hardlight revovler that fires light. she wears a cloak.

3-Fragger and rhino dont need more detirments they are slow enoguth already, and that 150-200hp status everoyne says is OP is melted off insanely fast cosnidering they also have large hitboxes than other mercs. its rang woudl be WAY to big with a very longlasting effect.
and why yes fire supprots dela high AOR damage, that AOE damage has a logn cooldown and must be sued smartly, this “fire support” its bascily a hold down button to get kills.

4-it does matter, so far msut stuff is realistic, E: no magic stuff.
the most senseless stuff would be Kiras ammo station, and FYI Skyhammer doesnt have drones ready, they the extended cooldown (whe airstirke is called) is the time the drones take to be reloaded. when they aint called they dont take that much time.

your character coudl rpetty much insta cheesy kill TANK characters whiel hruing the EV, SKyhammer can take down the EV with a single aistirke btu it msut be well placed, and he has to get clsoe enoguth for the flare.
Yours can pretty much sti down as an snper and spam the Golden gun and outsnipe out damage everyone!
Kira the one long ranged Support, has lower health better sped a good damage tool.

Alright, thank you for more specific feedback.

1.You could argue the same for Nader and Fragger. Both have 120 HP or more and have explosive abilities that have a high kill potential.

  1. I see your point. I’ll change the max damage rampup to 110 and a max of 3 shots. Hardlight is solid light: it would hurt quite a bit. And it’s a not a cloak as in invisibility cloak, it’s this kind of cloak: http://www.darkbladeuk.co.uk/uploads/images_products/hooded%20cloak%20--873.jpg

  2. Two Aura stations side by side is not that big, considering how fast people move in this game. If it was one station, it would be too easy to long jump out of. Duration could be decreased by a bit. Cooldown might be made a bit longer. But who’s the king of “hold down to get kills”? Rhino.

  3. Let’s not bring the realistic arguement here, ok? I can give a lot of things that aren’t realistic in this game.

  • infinite sprinting
  • walljumping
  • Aura’s station (“biotech” is very vague)
  • infinite ability stocks (where do the ammo packs, turrets, and health kits come from?
  • REVIVR
  • Defibs bringing people back to life instead of electrocuting them
  • Airstrikes and lasers not cleaving the EV in half or turining it to scrap
  • Respawning in general
  • Refractive armor eating bullets somehow
  • Where Rhino stores his minigun
  • No broken legs when fall damage is taken
  • EMPs melting steel beams
  • Heartbeat sensor (that’s not how they work in real life)
  • people taking several bullets to kill (12 to the chest and legs is gonna kill you)
  • all forms of healing in the game

I could probably list more, but that’s off the top of my head.

Can by fixed by decreasing max charge damage. EV slowdown can be removed, and 200 damage isn’t much for the EV. You get like 600 XP for hitting one Arty strike on the EV, and that’s only a third of it’s health. The EV has about 2000 HP.

Does a 30 second cooldown mean much to you? Vassili can snipe for days and instagib all mercs but Rhino, as well as spotting the enemies before they see him. Assault rifle range means a lot too- after that point, the damage is zero.

Drastic changes made after a wake of negative feedback.

  • HP decreased to 110 from 120
  • Maximum Hardlight Revolver shots decreased to 3 from 5, maximum charged damage reduced to 110 from 200
  • Duration of Swarm Grenade decreased to 5 seconds from 7, EV slowdown removed
  • Ammo Stash given a fictional tech for it to work to satisfy a select few

Hardlight- solid light, pretty much. It can be manipulated just like any other matter, so hard light bullets are totally possible.
Refer to this for more info.


From what I’ve read, it’s basically just a bunch of photons frozen into place. It can be used for a lot of things, like furniture, bridges, or in this case, weaponized.
