Merc movement speed, Are these numbers correct?

Sorry for the potato quality of the image, but I wanted to show you a couple of things I’ve been mentioning involving merc movement speed vs health, while one that I was mentioning the most being Phantom looks like it has been changed at least according to these stats in the store and barracks, I wanted you to look at the rest of the mercs and hear everyone’s thoughts.
Rhino and Aura/Sparks are there just to show the highest/lowest spectrums of speed and health.

Link as the image is too big.

Health is not the only factor though. You need to consider their abilities. For example Fire Support have ammo drops as well as a powerful damage ability that can do significant damage to objectives and players. Fragger’s power, if used skillfully, can destroy the enemy team.

As for Fletcher, my only guess is because the majority of his primary weapons are shotguns with the Blishlok being the only SMG he gets.

I made these graphs a few days ago, and now you’re practically asking for them. Thanks!
I sorted it by ascending tanky-ness.

And the same thing but with class designations

One thing to note is that the the range of SP/HP ratios is not linear. I suspect this is because there’s a lower speed threshold that SD thinks would too harshly affect the speed of the game. There are a few outliers worth looking at. For example, there are a lot of 410/110 mercs, but Fletcher, who has a very involved ability and weapon set has a higher speed, which matches Vassili (who’s health was not always 110), who is an outlier himself in that snipers generally stay back and move less, but aren’t tanky. I agree that his use of shotguns is likely the reason he needs the speed advantage to close distance. If you look at Proxy, she has a similar situation, being just faster than the more common 440/90 SP/HP tier. She also mainly uses shotguns, so there’s that.

As for the most tank mercs, who are all assault mercs, I think their hitboxes are worth considering. They’re big, which makes them easier too hit along with being slower. This contrasts with all the skinny ladies in the bottom left, who have smaller hitboxes. I think this accentuates the difference between the two sets of mercs in a way that I can’t really show on the graph.

SP/HP ratios aren’t linear because they’ve only a perceived correlation. They’re two independent stats for balancing.

Proxy wasn’t always an outlier. Kira got a speed nerf a few patches back and then they introduced Aimee with the same speed as Kira.

I think there is a correlation, but it’s nothing to do with whether or not there’s a linear increase/decrease in SP/HP. I don’t think we’ll see, for example, a merc with more health and more speed, say, at 440/120 unless all he gets are light pistols, a ping pong paddle and a non-combat ability. By SD’s pattern, I don’t think that sort of merc is coming. Maybe the opposite, if Turtle lives up to his name.

True that 440/90 only recently became the de jure “common” tier below Aura and Sparks. It makes sense to me, as buffing Proxy’s speed to 460 would be chaos.
