[Merc] Jug

I would like to see a heavy objective specialist. Why not use the bomb disposal suit properly right?

This was done rather quickly, and is not representative of my usual quality.

Character
A brash Canadian with the accent to boot, Jug would be aggressive and always making jokes about his home country. Humorous, but not overly confident, with a strong taste for maple syrup.

Stats
Class: Objective Specialist
HP: 180
SPD: 370
Ability 1: EMP grenade (2 carried, 30 second CD; disables deployables for 10 seconds)
Ability 2: N/A
Primary: LMGs
Secondary: Pistols

Thoughts?

Edit:
Alternate ability to have a riot shield that protected him from bullets and covered his entire body frontally aside from slightly below his knees and down (negated while crouched) and possibly even give him immunity to bullet damage to the torso from behind (depending on what Turtle’s shield does when he’s wearing it on his, presumably, back). It would gradually degrade with damage (150 let’s say) that would act as its CD.

That almost seem more like an assault class, especially with an LMG. Cut the health down, make his primary a rifle, and perhaps make his ability a personal oversheild. It may not be the best shield, but it makes for a much needed health increase during deliveries and clutch defusals.

Still, I did like the idea of an engineer/assault hybrid, not the best engineer or assault but still has merit in tough situations where his wrench is needed.

@Arri_Shi I was really trying to pay homage to the old Juggernauts of the MW series and actually really wanted him to have a riot shield as an ability, but since Turtle hasn’t quite been completely explained, I thought I’d hold off on suggesting it.

Perhaps if Turtle can only place his, then they can be like Fragger vs Nader synergy with similar abilities.

As for killing potential, LMGs make him slower (easier to shoot) and seem fair enough considering we already have plenty of Engis with massive potential DPS.

I think I’ll add the shield in as an alternative actually.

Well, I was thinking of not an actual shield that you hold, but rather a personal barrier around him that when active, acts as a health overcharge. It will add a good deal of tankyness in a pinch, but will need a good deal of time to recharge after it’s torn off or when it expires.

It sounds a bit too much like Phantom’s and wouldn’t really seem good for gameplay to have an engi whose greatest ability is simply to tank damage for clutch defuses. A physical shield would require more skill to use and would set him at a more supportive role that would have uses as point man for room clearing.

I really want this in the game Eh? Allows more diversity, Eh?
