Merc idea - Steel the support specialist

Steel loves to fight, he has always been a fighter, though he has never been that strong on his own. he discovered that when you fight in a group, it is so much better, because they do all the hard work, you take all the glory. now he fights with his merc friends. simple.

primary ability: A-R-M-0-R packs: the Assault-Refractive-Micro-Organism-Reanimation Packs are a deployable that is unique to Steel, when thrown down, they provide those that pick them up with a second health bar that adds half the mercs health on to a second health bar, allowing mercs to soak up more damage, the packs can not be stacked, and healing does not increase armor capacity, also once one armor pack has been applied to a merc, they can not receive armor again until their armor health has been depleted. a direct hit from an Armour pack will provide the recipient with a damage reduction for 3 seconds (10% damage reduction). their also will be a symbol above players heads if they are currently armored.

Secondary ability: small ammo pack: Steel has the ability to give ammo to teammates, however these packs are not as strong as other mercs. when picked up, small ammo packs will restore one clips worth of ammo to the recipient. a direct hit will give a slow regeneration to armor health until the recipient is hit. (5 armor every 2 seconds)

being able to replenish armor with ammo packs is weird, so maybe that bit shouldnt be there(while i agree that a direct hit with a small ammo pack should probably do something, replenishing armor over time is probably a no-no).
i’d also suggest that the armor packs take several seconds to be applied, so if you threw an armor pack on to a friendly that’s nearly dead and in combat, you dont instantly give him/her half their health back, which would basically make spork’s health packs a little obsolete. not completely, but for a quick health boost in combat, an armor pack would be preferred over medpacks(or “cupcakes” as a similar health item was nicknamed in Payday 2) like that.

other than that, probably also add other stuff like stats and weapons for the stat guys(people who can read stats unlike me) to comb over

Possibly the most balanced armor-giver i’ve seen suggested here. Nice work. (Only if armor regeneration over time is removed. A reduction of 50% armor to 30% may be necessary)

The only thing which scares me is seeing this ability used on a fast-moving merc such as Proxy, or on Rhino (another 100 hp). - As a side note of curiosity, is the armor pack enough to allow Aimee to survive a head shot from the MOA or FEL-IX?
