Hm, not really a bad idea, but change the weapons, it’s Arty’s and Kira’s arsenal, don’t be afraid to add a new type of weapon. Also cooldown for the ability? Duration? How many shots are needed to take down?

drones are…decidedly unwelcome around here to say the least. mtultiple times they have been brought up and shot down for the same reasons. what those reasons are i cant remember completely, but essentially they are too easily exploitable, too difficult to balance, and sometimes too situational.

sometimes…situational? sometimes…situational…sometimes…

aaagh. point is, the people here decided quite some time ago that drones were never going to be a thing in dirty bomb. you want a more detailed reason, you should try using the search bar. or you can ask Naonna, but i wouldnt want to trouble the guy.

If it’s a ground based drone it’s not so bad, but I still don’t think it would work well

Air drones are pretty powerful, and since how the creator says that the duration is null, it kind of seems unfair a bit, unless, it would be extremily visibile, really large to get saw and can only fly on a direct height, like for example, 5 feet above the ground, or even make it slow.

Look for the 5+ other drone ideas i’ve commented on. this is getting repetitive. - Robots are complicated to program, can break the game state, and are easy to screw up.

@Naonna perhaps hard to program for someone who doesn’t work for Dirty Bomb. It’d only require a model, animations, replication of movement mechanics and a camera change script. It’s not like movement mechanics need to be created fresh either, time consuming bits originate from the animations.


Slightly useless, slightly good. Mimics concepts of BF4. The issue is maps are too small. You can highlight people but its a face paced game. A drone for spotting isn’t so good, other purposes would be much better.

We had to wait over half a year for a new map. The team isn’t very large, at the moment.

I don’t think it’s the quantity, just work ethic. Likely to be concentraited on other things. When content is releasing as slowly as DB, they must be doing something else. I mean Javeline is pretty much done and that still isn’t close to coming out. Turtle is basically done but needs polishing which they never get round to.
