Merc Idea - Morte (still working on the name)

“It’s ok! My Poison Darts don’t sting… oh but the poison does”

[working on this] No one does know much about Morte. Tales say she was a street kid once, hidden within the shadows after a terrible accident took place at her parents work place. She was told it was a slow and painful death. One day a classified experiment went wrong. Instead of containing the poison, Morte stole it. Forever obsessed with it’s abilities she studied it for days on end. Before the Dirty Bomb event, she had perfected it. Now a mercenary, she wields her beloved liquid, waiting to see her enemies suffer a slow, painful death too.

Primary Ability:Poison Darts [E] [15 second cooldown for each dart] [3 darts] [/edit/1 second for minimum charge (5hp), 8 .5 second charge (25 HP).] this is just an estimate for now. do the math later
Deals 5-25 Damage initially (depending on charge) and slowly deteriorates 40hp from victim. 3 darts each with 15 second cool-down. Poison dart last effect last 10 seconds [4 hp a second]

Power 2: Rapid Knife [10 Second cool down in between charges]
Her Special knife skills come in handy in close quarters. She can rapid attack with her knife (no slowing down or waiting for knife to return to original position), The rapid knife has short reach though. You can do as many rapid swings in a row but needs 10 seconds in between each round. Alternately she can throw her knife [Q] but it only deals the same amount of damage as a normal stab.

[EDIT] maybe a double knife would be a better idea.

Primary weapons: Stark AR
Secondary Weapon: [Custom] Dual Pistol (reduced accuracy)
Melee: Beckhill Combat Knife

Strength (still need more detail): All around player. Short-Long Range.

Weakness (needs work: While charging darts she is vulnerable.

Her role must be an assualt not a support(fire support) because of her skills lack the supportiveness that all fire supports have (like skyhammer’s airstrike)

The dart abillity is i think OP?
Also dart abillities have been mentioned many times on other merc suggestion BUT your just new here (like me) so its okay dude ! Next time think out of the box :wink: .

Your abillity 2 is confusing ? But i like how the throwing knife’s damage is the same with a normal knife attack so its good though :smile: .

I like the concept and backstory dude GREAT JOB ! :#

Fire supports need 2 abilities to be fire supports, first is a high-damage aoe ability, frequently with a long cooldown, and the second is the ability to drop ammo in some way. Currently you can only throw ammo bags and deploy ammo stations, but the way, though mini ammo bags do exist for the looter perk.
Doesn’t seem like either of the abilities fit the criteria, so it’s probably better of as an assault, like Whoops said. Mmmaybe not for ability #2, though, there’s a perk for melee-ing faster already, no knife throwing yet, however.
As for ability # 1…DoT is a bit of a touchy subject around here, usually it’s looked down on, since teams without medics would suffer the DoT without any way to remove the effect. I’m swayed for now, though, since you properly pointed out just how much damage it could do, and the max possible damage is less than the smallest health pool at this time, so you still need to pepper them with more bullets/darts to secure the kill. Still, though, I wouldn’t want to have no choice but to stand there and watch my health slowly tick down because my team doesn’t have any medics, either waiting for the DoT to be over and then waiting for regen to start, or just waiting for myself to die.

Also, can you add the charge time, cooldown etc

I really enjoy this Merc! Based of your description she’d best be used as a fast hitting Assault class focused on assist kills and harassment.

Some crits:

[] Her physical description is too similar to the rest of the female Mercs which might make it a bit confusing to spot her. Aimee in particular is also tanned/olive toned while wearing a head bandana.

] I’d suggest not having the Rapid Knife ability since knife attacks in Dirty Bomb are quick enough as it is, killing most classes in 2-3 hits or a close second.
[*] Considering her average speed, short size, and low health, maybe she could do a dash attack to initiate melee/retrieve darts and for quick getaways? Assault classes are usually known for their survivability.

Visually, she reminds me of Gazelle from Kingsman: The Secret Service. Both having slim bodies, black hair, and tanned/olive skin.

As a side note, it’d be nice to have an Italian Merc! I heard the player base in Italy is quite pleasant.

Yeah okay I’m back sorry about that

Anyways, the updates to previously unspecified stats are welcomed, other people can deal with them if they so please, I cant stat very well.

Looking over this, though…2.5 secs for minimum charge seems a bit much, I mean, 2.5 secs is a LONG time in a fight, in 2.5 secs, a guy could run from the container to the ramp at the last point in bridge(probably, I think, I don’t know), in other words, chances are by the time you could shoot the weapon at a guy you saw, said guy would either be no longer in your line of sight, or have run up to you with a shotgun.
Thinking about it a little, this is also basically Sparks’ REVIVR + DoT and maybe longer charge time? Is there an arc to the darts? Maybe you can intergrate that with the charge amount?

People seemed to HATE it when Phantom used melee as his primary ‘ability’ - So good luck with that.
