“Every other hired gun out there talks and talks and talks. Everyone underestimates the quiet ones.” -Mimic
Now hiring Mimic, an introverted, bookwormish lady who…wait, did she just out-Minigun Rhino? What’s she doing with those frags? Who made her an Objective Specialist?
“Nothing’s impossible if you’re paying for it.” -Mimic
When you need someone who can do anything possible on the battlefield, who can look at something and immediately figure out how to use it, who can be completely unpredictable? Just look for the girl with the braided dark hair. And the bow. Assuming she isn’t trying to kill you.
Class: Recon
Health: 90
Speed: 420
Ability 1: Steal Abilities
Mimic can run up to a Finished Merc, friend or foe, and press the Use key on them. After a few seconds, she’ll loot the Merc’s Abilities for her own use. They’ll be slightly weaker than the real deal, and she can’t cool them down like the real Mercs can, so use them wisely! Yes, she’ll steal them both if the Merc has more than one, and she’ll surrender whatever Abilities she had previously in order to take the new ones. And yes, every single other Merc, other Mimics aside (you’ll just steal whatever she had at the time of death) can have Abilities stolen.
After some more thought on this idea, I figure others need some way to see what Abilities Mimic has at the moment. If she’s wearing that bulky backpack Rhino has, safe to say she can pull a Minigun out. Grenades over her shoulders? Expect some nades. Facemask? She stole from a Phantom. Etcetera. Yes, the whole crux of the idea is that she’s not as fast as Proxy, she’s not crazy-DPS like Proxy, but she’s unpredictable. But someone who spots the clues Mimic leaves can better prepare themselves for engagement.
Just on a side note, Mimic will always loot Abilities in full supply/fully cooled, even if the victim didn’t have such. Fragger being out of rocks doesn’t affect the fact that Mimic will find two of them on his body, for example. This should offer better consistency
Primary Weapon: Steelman Arrowhead
This compound bow allows Mimic to quickly and quietly dispatch her enemies from a distance, though not to the ridiculous distances possible with Vassili’s rifles. Enemies hit with Arrows will not see the arrows in their HUD corresponding to the direction the hit came from (instead seeing the circular pattern that shows up when taking fall damage), and Mimic can draw and fire the weapon even while sprinting or jumping. Press the Reload key to nock an arrow, press again to remove it. Sans arrow, Mimic can run just as fast with the bow out as she can with her knife.
The projectile follows a ballistic arc and does 55 body/110 head damage from a full draw.
(Loadout Cards could see her with the Grandeur or Dreiss.)
Secondary Weapon: Depends on the Loadout Card. Could be a Smjuth and Whetsman, M9, or Simeon.
Tertiary Weapon: Any of the knives.
