This is an example of how a merc concept should be presented. I would have been a lot more skeptical had this not been so well thought out, balanced and presented.
Four gripes:

May be suspiciously close to Stoker. I can understand the grease effect as a speed booster and itās pretty cool for setting traps and stuff, but even then, its a bit of an alternative Stoker. The offensive fire effect is the same. I feel like either Stoker or Grease just might render each other defunct.

Not sure about it being set alight by ANY element. I feel like noobs or enemy teams that see the grease will just set it alight, meaning it will be rendered useless if the enemy team sees it. Also, once set alight, will it damage friendlies and/or will the friendly speed effect wear off?

Flare gun should either be a secondary or an ability gun with a cooldown; I feel like it being both isnāt an option. Iām thinking how Naderās grenade launcher was originally a playable, reloadable weapon in the beta. It was changed to have a cooldown so it wasnāt constantly barraging the enemy.

It might be really OP. Imagine a team of Greaseās; The whole dang map would be set on fire. Plus, it could prevent the enemy team from getting ANYWHERE. It all really depends on how much Grease can be spilled, and how widely the effect is spread.
Finally, bonus question, would this be affected by enemy nades, similar to how Nader or Fragger can disperse Stokerās fire?[/quote]
Thanks for great feedback. To be honest my original thought was to only have the grease to boost friendly movement in certain areas of the map, to help get back in action or push⦠But in that case it could not be countered by enemy unlike you can destroy turret or mines and stuff⦠So I thought that he could as well set it on fire, which would cancel the effect and after the fire is out the grease would be gone as well obviously. I also thought that it might be helpfull in some situation to have this ādefensive fire wallā and to provide some extra usage.
Concerning the flare gun, it is presented as a second ability as you can see. It has two charges that can be only replenished by ammo packs and stuff. Yes it should have a cooldown of 25 seconds which I forgot to type in.
To be honest I never knew you could disperse the fire from molotov by grenades
and no, the fire would only stay on the grease trail, it should not be spread anywhere else, again for balancing issues.
About OP team of Greases, dont forget that fire is not unlimited, the fire only lasts 5 seconds and you can only place another trail every 60 seconds⦠This once again lead us to why this should be ignitable by opponents as well, to counter the speed boosts in case the team has alot of greases which would create a loooong boost trail.
Concerning the width of the trail, my imagination is that it could be as long as the width of the roads⦠so not that big at all.
