FAIRY:

An irish medic capable of getting somewhere fast anfd heal best.

F.A.I.R.Y
“Frequent Alleviation In Recovery (Y)unit”
(heals you for 20 sec’ (max) and any ally in a radius of (X) meters that goes below 30% HP)
activation type: enable/disable (like phantom’s cloak)
2 sec’ to wait for the activation animation
recharge time: (works like phantom’s cloak)
hp heal per sec: just like aura’s health station (maybe a little less or more).

description: the “Frequent Alleviation In Recovery (Y)unit” aka; F.A.I.R.Y
is a device that upon activation floats close to Fairy (the merc) about the size of Aimee’s Snitch device
that provides her and her allies with healing powers.
the F.A.I.R.Y device can be shot, and if destroyed Fairy has to wait full recharge time.

To be fair this is one of the best mercenary ideas in a while. You may want to make see its not too much like Auras. Perhaps change the name to something other than the ability. You could have FAIRY devices which you have 3 of. These follow and heal a mercenary on the move. They can be blown up and also reveal a mercenarys position.

Guardian (a bit masculine though, I’m not sure if you were going for a male or female medic) might be a good name.
and yeah, good work, I think that what @Fyrix recommended would be better, as ATM this merc fills the same role as Phoenix, perhaps this merc stole the technology used to make the snitch and the nanobot tech, and put them together. You could also have a debilitation effect of an enemy gets very close

Okay, so we either have…
A Sawbonez with better healing…
A Phoenix with better healing…

And with terrible weapons, even more so with the Shotgun/MP loadouts. Those loadouts seem kind of forced.

I think we are good with two medics that are overspecialized to being a medic and unable to commit to a fight as well as other characters. Those medics are Aura and Counterspell Sparks.

The device seems… fine? It’s a pheonix with a very low passive heal, although it does take away from pheonix’s appeal a little. I’d be curious to see how the numbers balance out - especially compared to aura’s station which can be destroyed. The follow-device on the other hand seems to encourage pocketing a single teammate.

I’d advise putting a limit to how often the same merc can be healed. Requiring that it be used on alternating teammates with a mild cool down and requiring them to stay within a certain range of the medic may be of help teach a newer player who aren’t super team-oriented how to spread the heals.

It needs work, but this idea has promise.
