TB-5 Compresed Bow : Asphyxia takes out her special tactical bow, with arrows that have the power to create a toxin that burns oxygen in a area of 5 meters if an enemy enters the area, they will start couching and take 5 damage per 2 seconds, if she hits a target with it, the target will have the toxin injected in their veins, spreading in an area of 2 meters, the target will also get slowed by 5% under the effect, medics have the power to get rid of the effect by healing the victim, if she aims with it, she will get slowed down, but will have a special pointer to see where the arrow will land.

Advantages :

  • Can create area denial
  • Perfect to make the enemies retreat
  • In combination with a Stoker they both can create perfect area denial

Disadvantages :

  • Missing with the bow can be really punishing.
  • The toxin can be destoyed by enemy explosives or by Phoenixs’ healing pulse.
  • Asphyxia also takes damage from the toxin.

i would see her more like a sniper/long ranged a sniper who is not a recon could be nice for diversity

The idea of a area-slow effect could be quite useful in some maps, but less useful in others. Bows also are an odd point in games, since it has to be considered a projectile and not hit scan in the way bullets are. - Another aspect of bows is the drop-off and travel time. This allows bow characters to shoot some enemies from specific locations in a way that disallows returning fire. In Dirty Bomb, the mechanic may be hit or miss and depend on body shot damage vs head shot damage.

well, a recon who “is not a recon” would be useless for the team, the job of the recon is to spot the enemy, not to just kill someone, and if she was a long ranged sniper but didn’t do the job of a recon, and you also had a bad aim, then it would be like a 5 v 6; 6 v 7 ; 7 v 8

welp, was gonna make it a crossbow, but then i decided to make it a compressed bow, maybe ill change the feature of the arrow physics.

thats the purpose phontom is actually considred as a recon and he is close/mid range not a sniper so an assault that have a sniper that would help his team in area denial from afar could be nice

Was gonna make the merc have 2 types of arrows, one with asphyxiating poison and the other one with special gas that heals allies in a small area for more utility. But then i tought that it would be a little OP. So i decided to just give her the asphyxiating arrows.
