‘Here I am, born to be the king.’ -Highlander arrives on scene

Born in the Scottish Highlands in approximately the 16th century AD, the young Highlander found himself on the receiving end of a fatal blow from a legendarily immortal barbarian…only to recover straight away! Accused of witchcraft and banished from his hometown, for the next 500 years Highlander wandered the Earth in search of the source of his immortality.

In the year 2018, Highlander felt himself strangely attracted to a place called London, and a slight tingling sensation whenever someone like him was nearby. The only way into this place ever since the attacks involved becoming a mercenary. What the hell, Highlander thought. Figure out why he’s far outlived everyone he’s ever loved, the secret of his immortality, and make some serious bank while doing it? Sounds like the deal of the millennium.

Jackal and CDA reps alike rolled their eyes at this backstory. The radiation has been known to cause dementia and illusions of grandeur. But if it meant one more pair of hands fighting for them, then sure, why not?..

Speed: 470
Appearance: A tall, muscular chap with long wavy hair, in a team-colored kilt and draped in a fur cloak, this Merc is unmistakably Highlander.

Ability 1: Headtaker
‘There can be only one.’ -Highlander beats another Highlander.
Melee gibbing enemies will decapitate them, adding their head to Highlander’s collection. Highlander can have up to three heads in his possession at any given time, and the heads will decay after twenty seconds, allowing Highlander to take another head. If he attempts to take a fourth head, he will automatically drop his oldest head.
The first head in his possession will increase his maximum HP by 25; for each additional head Highlander will regenerate 1 HP/second. He can press Q to throw a head, losing the effects, but it will act like a Sawbonez medpack unless it’s he who picks it up again.
Highlander can take heads from already-gibbed bodies of any team affiliation if the body is less than twenty seconds old, but will lose some of the head’s duration. Highlanders can steal each others’ heads by using Headtaker on them.

Ability 2: Immortal Sense
A passive ability that allows Highlander to sense enemy Highlanders. If they’re in a certain radius of him, he’ll get an arrow in the HUD pointing in his general direction. This only works on one Highlander at a time, the closest one.

Weapons: Machine Pistols; M9, Caulden, Deagle; Broadsword, Katana, Cricket Bat

Immortality seems to be a medic-only thing. Also, please don’t mix the niches of medics and recons, you are making both role categories useless.

I’d rather see DB stay firmly within sci-fi unless the radiation causes seriously fucked up things to the mercs’ brains.

I haven’t played Demoknight in a long-ass time. I remember Demoknights being a hell of a lot of fun, though. No, I was literally thinking of the movie Highlander.

not really that but close enough to make me happy.

his abilities, though, are…pretty odd. tall, muscular recon with a special ability that activates only when melee gibs people? nevermind the continuous health regen, he can prep a human head for consumption for an ally in such a way it heals bullet wounds?

also why does he need to know where his dupes are? kinda useless information you ask me. and he doesnt do his job as a recon by tracking enemies, just the direction of the enemy demokn- i mean highlanders to himself.

i used to say characters like nader and phanty can’t do much teamwork stuff, but that’s their job: to kill enemy players. forgot what’s the name of their class though. recons do long-range damage and mark enemies for friendlies. they dont turn human heads into medicine and use a claymore.
also you kinda left out the primaries.
