Q – Hack Gun: The hack gun shoots a continuous laser which is used to hack enemy equipment. The laser requires 4 seconds of continuous contact with enemy turrets, mines, health stations or heartbeat sensors and shuts them down for 1 second. After that second the turret/mine/station/sensor will reactivate working for your team instead. Since heartbeat sensors disappear after a certain amount of time, any enemy heartbeat sensor hacked will remain permanently unless destroyed.
Like Rhino’s minigun and Sparks’ revive gun, there is no cooldown for bringing out the weapon, but the hack gun can overheat/overcharge if used for 8 continuous seconds. Since the hack gun isn’t primarily meant for attacking, it only does 5 damage per second.

I don’t think I can add the photo yet, so here’s a screenshot link to how the hack gun works.

I’d like to know what people think.

EDIT: Added health stations to the hack list

Bump! Any feedback for this merc?

Shouldn’t be bumping unless you have an announcement to make, updates, comment replies, ect. (Forum rules).

Feedback: Probably not the most balanced merc, especially if Bushwhacker was put in free rotation. You could basically slaughter an entire team with their own turrets and das not good.

Suggestion: Keep your hack beam on the deployable to control them, unless they’re explosives or HBS of course. This way Hacker could tango a Bushwhacker with his own turret or kill an Aura and do a quick top up of health with her healing stations without totally denying the enemy team their entire defense.

Other than that, good concept.

P.S. Scotty Tweedie, Prank Patrol was wierd.

@glossyCup I didn’t copy you, I came up with it on my own. Don’t know what you’re talking about.
