@derpypenguinz19 I have no idea how the PM system works here. I’ll need a rough description of the Exoskeleton.
[Merc] Grapple
You click on the little mail icon up by the top of the page and click “New Message” to create and send a PM.
The arm part exoskeleton looks similar to this, but with a much more improvised appearance (think welded together scrap metal), especially for the armored sections. There is also a rotating shoulder joint instead of those weird ball joints in the picture. Exposed wiring is visible around the joints. The grappling hook gun covers 3/4ths of the forearm area.
The leg exoskeleton is simple and durable, being a basic piece of metal that aligns with the shape of the leg and is attached to the side of the leg via equally spaced metal bands that wrap around it. Armor is welded to the front of the shin area. Like before, there is some exposed wiring around the knee and hip joints, although noticeably less so than on the arm exoskeleton.
She also wears knee high work boots and the jacket is unzipped to just above the middle of the breasts.
If you need anymore details, don’t hesitate to ask!
EDIT: Crap, it censored the body part I was looking for. I’ll just say…chest area.
EDIT 2: I guess the backpack looks like the one in this picture.

Grapple is a she.
And no, I don’t get the reference…
id like to do some concept art for here as well. see where our ideas lead us.
@derpypenguinz19 As i said in the pegasus one, i think that it wouldn’t work that well, as the maps in this game wouldn’t be very grapple-friendly and would basically make her useless
You’re not very experienced are you? If you’ve paid attention to the maps at all you can clearly see places where Grapple could easily hookshot herself up to. I’ve given you a list of areas that Pegasus could be useful, don’t make me do it for Grapple. @derpypenguinz19 your turn.
@sentimentalDime There are probably a ton of places you would get to with the hook. For example:
-to go to the top of the building overlooking the EV (Bridge 1st stage)
-grapple onto the otherwise hard to jump to catwalk to get behind the enemy team (Chapel 2nd stage)
-rooftop of Underground 1st objective
-top of bridge (Bridge 1st stage)
-most interiors with multiple visible levels
Don’t forget that you can use it as a weapon and to boost your momentum for a super longjump of sorts. I was also considering adding an ability to cling to a ceiling or wall for more utility and stealth
@derpypenguinz19 still, that seems like some really situational places, however, the cling-to-awall ability seems really cool, as long as it has some max time you can cling so people don’t just sit for 60 seconds waitng for someone to walk by
It’s not situational because the hook can latch onto the surface of almost anything in the game. Wanna swing straight to the EV and make a quick repair? Do it. Wanna escape from a Rhino that’s nailing your team with bullets? Do it. Wanna get to any know surface in the game faster than any other merc? Do it. Climb up onto ledges? Do it. It’s not hard to understand, you do what Batman does, it’s a simple formula - what don’t you get?

You took the words right out of my mouth.
@derpypenguinz19 Yeah, alright i can see where you are going with that. It actually seems like a pretty cool idea. Too bad the devs stated in one of their strams they didn’t want to add this kind of movement as they think it wouldn’t fit the playstyle and the maps of the game in one of their streams
Is that so? I’ve never heard the Devs say that once and I watch their streams. [/quote]
Me neither. I’ve only been reading Faraleth’s round-ups and they say nothing of that sort. I should ask that as a question.
