Ability - Gauss Cannon - Gauss pulls out a experimental Gauss Rifle that can 1 shot a Rhino! It recharges 1 bullet every 30 seconds and can hold a max of 2 bullets.
Each shot does 200 damage no matter where you hit the enemy Merc
The Weapon takes 3 seconds to off the players back and once in hand needs 3 seconds to charge before firing

“Ability - Gauss Rifle - Gauss pulls out a experimental Gauss Rifle that shoots a fast firing steel marble (about the same speed of sparks’ revive gun) that does 150 damage to anywhere on the enemies body and will continue on its path (with no drop) until it makes contact with the group where it will be lodged into the ground incapable of being pulled out. If the Marble comes in contact with a objective i.e. the EV it will double in damage and be lodged into
the objective incapable of being removed.
The Weapon takes 3 seconds to off the players back and once in hand needs 3 seconds to charge before firing”

I feel like thats just a little to OP… Maybe tone it down to where it can one shot a framer from above waist… And with Phantom coming in he would be able to just charge right at this guy. Phantom takes no damage while cloaked

The general idea behind this is, imo, very good. But it will definitely need some tweaking =)

I like the way you are trying to make feel very heavy but powerful with the time it takes to take it off the back and charging, I just don"t get the point about his supposed main weapons, nobody will use the shotgun so maybe replace it with the mk46 (future’s Thuder base weapon, 80 high firing rate low/med damage LMG)

The point of this looks to be a skill shot. My suggestion is.

Gauss Rifle. 1 Shot capacity, after trigger pull it takes 2-3 seconds for the gun to fire. After that shot it gets too hot to be fired again, maybe 30-45 second cooldown. The Round would penetrate through players until it hits terrain. No drop, instantaneous travel (IE its a hitscan), and deals 150 damage to everyone it strikes, make the affected line extremely small (makes it easy to dodge). This makes it into a line clear weapon that requires a great deal of skill as after you pull the trigger, it’s going to fire with or without you. Or just requires an extremely dumb, or slow enemy.

Small Ammo Bag.

Limit him to Operator weapons (SMGs). Make him Fire Support.

Your advice imo is quite genius and i would love it to be a feature of the character if it is ever added. thank you for advice i’m definitely going to incorporate a lot of it into the character.

One a side not thank you to everyone else that has commented with there opinion and advice on the character, it has been very helpful.

/\ tweaked version of the Gauss rifle. i made it this way because i want to keep the Gauss rifle true to how it will be if a small scale version was made in real life. it would be much appreciate if anyone could comment on this telling me if it is an improvement and also if you think it would be OP.

it’s a nice tweak, I just don’t get the “lodged into the ground incapable of beign pulled out”

What’s the point of having an slug stuck in a wall ? what would be the purpose of it ? just a cosmetic feature ?

And having it firing after 3 seconds with such a long cooldown for a hit or miss weapon I definetly think it should make 200dmg, imo. I think it would be very, very hard to hit someone in your line of sight 3s after you clic to fire, considering how fast mercs move all across the maps.
