abilities:
Q/4
“Fort station”
A heavy deployable that provides a defensive buff to nearby teamates, keeping their ass alive in the fight and keeping yours in the process.
(Depoyable stats)
HP: 100 (it has a large hitbox/ can be used as cover)
takes 2 seconds to deploy
a 35 coldown, reduced by 30 if picked up
(Buff stats)
A player must remain 2 seconds inside the Area (Auras station range) in roder for the buff to take place.
(while Standing inside the range
it will provide a 30% damage reduction to Hitscan weapons and a 40% damage reduction to explosives.
leaving the range wil leave the player with only a 20% hitscan reduction for 50 seconds.
Notes:
Buffed players will glow the team color.
The owner will have a range marked in the Minimap that shwos how far they can get from the deployable before this oen stops working. Hud aert will come in if they get to far.
If the owner is not isnide the range the deplyoable can be sued by enemies.
Mutliple stations wont stack nor buff each other.
Conc granades will also drop the buff.

Sound alright, but the ability is confusing me. Is it a physical station (like a hut that you can hide in) or some kind of force field that you can shoot out of?

If it’s a forcefield that sounds even more OP than the merc I suggested a few days ago. Objective specialist + a forcefield that reduces damage + if an aura puts a health station inside that force field? Sounds like a recipe for disaster for the defending team when the attackers are delivering objectives.

Alright sorry it was confusing me, because the way you implied it would only stop the bullets hurting by X amount made me think it was some kind of forcefield. One would imagine a physical barrier would stop bullets completely.

Oh wait, sorry I see what you’re saying. So something similar to Auras station which within a range stops bullets hurting so much?

That what I got for it. But Heal Station+Fort Station+Rhino= nigh-invincible to basically everything as long as they’re smart and a Stoker doesn’t come around.

Exactly what I was getting at. Chuck a rhino down with an aura station + something that stops bullets hurting him so much = recipe for disaster.

at this time, it would seem a stoker or thunder nade is the best way to clear these sort of FOBs out, if there isnt clear skies above said FOB, though the fact that one would need to have purchased a specific merc to be able to counter a certain enemy is one surefire way to bring in the p2w accusations. the not-so-recent recent snipers and explosives nerf doesnt help, either.

how about the buff ebcome weaked Over time? th emroe oyug et hti the less it works, na dhte staton can only reduce so much damag ebefore it goes offline?

yeah, i did actually understand what shell was trying to say, just thought he might have edited it before i came back on XD
anyways, that could work. or make it like the way the aura stations works. or maybe the more people within range, the less def buff each individual player gets?
