Merc Idea:
Name: DASH (Detective Anna SHamir)
Gender: Female
Nationality: Israel
Class: Recon/Combat support (kinda like Phantom
but more to the recon side)
HP: 110
Speed: 410
(same as Phantom)

Abilities:
Primary ability:(Q)

T.E-S.L.A:
Temporal Enhancement-Space Leaping Apparatus
A device which DASH is able to dash with x meters in the direction the mouse is pointing
(not including height unless she’s in mid-air)(i dont know what to put in the x parameter
for it to be balanced)
DASH cannot shoot or use her melee when dashing.
Ability Activation Time- 0.01 sec’.
Amount- 1
Cooldown Time- a little tricky for her ability, i will write it
right after the 2nd ability.

Secondary ability-(E)

Heat Vision Dart Gun
DASH, as a recon, is able to shoot her enemies with heat vision darts
from close range to let her whole team see the enemies’ location for a short time.
DOES NO DAMAGE.
Amount- 2
Vision Duration- 7 sec’
(affected by Phantom so shooting phantom with it isnt really useful
as redeye’s heat vision).
Cooldown Time- 13 sec’

COOLDOWN TIMES-
Base cooldown time for dashing ability is 15 sec’,
BUT, the cooldown time of it drops down to x sec’ if:
The dash is activated, and then she hits an enemy with a dart- the dash cooldown
is dropped down to x sec’.(again I don’t know what to put in the x for balance)

MP 400
Empire 9

Secondary:
M9
Caulden
Selbstadt.40

Notes:
as you can see DASH is a good easy flanking mercenary, with ok hp pool and ok speed, but,
she doesnt have a big damage output so the best ways to use her abilities are:
1)To fall off high places faster (such as the bridge on bridge) and not get fall damage-
you use her dashing ability while pointing down in mid-air.
2)Flank 1-3 enemies by dashing behind them in a good distance from them and shoot them with a dart,
then dash back and seek friendly help to kill them(or try going hardcore and kill them by yourself)
3)Because she is slower than some mercs- try dashing away, then turn quickly back
and shoot the enemy with a heat vision dart, and then turn back again and dash away.

F*cking hell, another Tracer.

First, being built around speed, her heath should be lowered to 100hp.

And then there’s TE-SLA thing you put. I guess that 3m would be enough to blinking without causing a fuss in the pace. Then again, that ability of yours is messing with the pace of the game. A noob player is now capable of reaching a place when a pro can only do that with hardcore trickjumps. Pace f*cked.

And the dart-thingy is cool. Targeting key enemy with that is good. But the Blink-like sht of yours will be affected by the tag. So basically, you gave us a Tracer, build around with an idea of helping noobs rekting pros by tag the s**t out of them. And you make her tanky enough to survive a first encounter, and fast enough to dogde them. Well we have already got a cancer, and you are giving us another cancer. Just fcking great.

I dont play overwatch so I don’t realy know that much about tracer.
but still you are right and I haven’t thought of the real potential of her dashing skill.

Actually I’d go as far as to say Tracer requires the most amount of skill in OW. Your primary skill in surviving most gunfights is your ability to account for time. In order to be truly good at the character you need to micromanage a lot.

It’s unfortunate that there’s no DB character that requires a similar amount of micromanagement. The suggestion in this thread doesn’t fill that hole either.

Giving a character increased movement abilities means modifying maps to accommodate them so as to prevent exploits or unintended paths being taken - among other problems.
