its a very nice class, I’m sure it could get into the running with a couple of upvotes too! But… You might have to change the name to something that isn’t a flesh eating drug… But still good!

that looks like a really good class set, I reckon it could make the running’s with a couple of up votes. But… You’d have to change the name to something that isn’t a flesh-eating drug…

Krokodil is just Russian for Crocodile, which is an allusion to the nickname for Mi-24 Hind gunships.

Perhaps he could be simply named Crocodile then.

I dig it. You’ve come up with something that deviates from the existing setup without being gamebreaking or absurd. A more reliable form of sustained air support in the form of an attack gunship would be interesting to see, particularly if we could see things like Arty calling in a mortar strike right on top of it.

Wouldn’t this class be useless in closed maps like undergound? I can imagine myself running around like crazy just to find some hole in the roof that will allow me to drop the supplies. Not to mention the fire support in some maps. Also, i don’t exacly understand how the fire support is supposed to work. How long will it take for the helli to arrive? Which way will it face? How fast will it target the enemies? How much firepower and Hp it has? Will it fly after you and cover you, or rather stay in place and anihilate everything in sight?

Actually even underground, the most enclosed of the current maps, has more than 50% of it’s area open to the sky. They have to otherwise many of the other fire support class mercs would be useless.

Having the ammo ability be restricted in the same manner does make this merc be a bit more situational, but that is compensated by the ability recharge boost feature. (Perhaps a bounce property should be added to the crates to prevent them for getting stuck on overhead geometry and becoming useless.)

The gunship would arrive after a similar delay to the other fire support mercs abilities. and would hover over the place where the ability was used. A nose turret with 360 degree arc of fire will then engage target in line of sight. (This would mean it could be called in over an enclosed area and yet still remain effective if it had live of sight into an open part of the map.)
I would imagine it as a bushwacker turret with the power of the mounted mg. HP wise it should be abut half as tough as the EV. Allowing it be forced off by a well placed fire support strike and some concentrated gunfire.

It would probably linger for about 10-25s before leaving on it’s own.

@dizzyPark I thought this class was cool, but with your suggestions I think it is really viable.
