Memory Leak Leading To Crash

(BeardyDuck) #1

The crash can happen anytime in between looking at the merc/inventory menu for too long, in the middle of a game, at the start of a game, at the end of a game, etc. I noticed that on the Task Manager under Processes the memory usage by DB slowly creeps upwards to 1,550,000 K before crashing.

Definitely not a hardware issue, and my Nvidia drivers are up to date.

So I’ve done some digging, and it seems this might be the reason for the crashes I’ve been getting.

(Poldy040) #5

I have sometimes a system freeze! The screen is full of gfx dots and only the reset button will help. Sometimes during game play but in the most cases when I have started a new game by using the server browser during loading the map. 1-3 times the week I guess.

(GM-Radrodo) #6

@Poldy Could I see a screenshot of this issue please?

(Poldy040) #7

A screenshot is of course not possible when the system is freezed!
I grabbed my phone and made a photo!

What you see are the residues of the map loading screen.
It was the first game I wanted to start yesterday. Lobby counter went down to 0, the map started to load and I got the freeze in less than a second during loading.
After I have reseted my system, I could play the whole evening without another freeze!

Could you provide the photo in a ticket as I’m unable to view your image.
