Melee only, people are surprisingly accepting about it and many seem to like it.

Me and a few friends have started joining empty servers and starting melee only “gamemodes” (unofficial) and setting rules. People join, and we tell them the rules. The ones that accept it seem to very much enjoy it, and the ones who don’t either leave or…can be a problem. We need a hub where people interested in this can arrange things, and we can set up matches. We have a post in the clan section about our group, where as this is merely to inform you that melee only is fun.

Sounds like the Jedi Knight 2 sabers only servers. I was never a huge fan of the sabers only stuff as the gunplay in JK2 was great, but it definitely had it’s charm.

Just like any multiplayer game, all you need is a couple of people willing to do something a little silly and then a heap of fun gets going.

Personally I would hate this, the melee in this game is straight up TERRIBLE. I am to used to Source engine melee, that stuff was nice.

Yea, we should have a melee only game mode, where all mercs have same speed and same health and only abilities are giving each other health. All have whether stellito or beckhill knife.
