Medpacks left display?

(kewl) #1

Hello,
I wanted to eliminate chargebar factor for all classes, already done everything that was needed for medic (medpacks ammo, no chargetime for this class), but I wanted the amount of medpacks left displayed on the HUD, just like the guns’ ammo is displayed. Anyone knows how this could be done?

Thanks in advance,

Yeah, just use the ammotable_mp  Right now it uses no ammo, so it’s just disabled. Give it some ammo should be enough.

I have some stuff done to limit the arty, I can’t remember all the code changes I did for it, but I am sure I just used the ammotable_mp (although, I took the ammotable out and used configs for mine).

If you want to dig though that source though and see for yourself, just goto Sourceforge, search for ETKmod, onyl 1 result will appear, click that and then Browse the SVN Repository. Check the branches/beta-1.0.0 stuff.

As I said, I already limited the number of medpacks in ammotable, it’s just not displayed. Did you have ‘arty left’ displyed in your mod?

Yeah, it worked perfect. I think I may have edited one or two other thinsg though, but it was just small changes. I think it is a switch statement somewhere to enable the drawing of the ammo count. The easiest way to find it would be to search for any weapon, pick one, that has ammo, and then look through each occurence of that weapon until you find something that looks like it may do some drawing and Medpacks, AmmoPacks, Arty, etc is not listed.

I can look better later, I’m off to work right now though. Like 12 hours from this post if you still don’t get it I’ll dig through my old source see if I can find it.

Everything is working perfect now - the changes that had to be made were in cg_draw. I’ve also added medpack to skipammo, so only the amount is shown, without the ‘magazine ammo’ left

Thanks for the help,

Good to see you got it all working, hard day at work I was like “I really don’t want to search through all that code…”
