If enough people still want old medpacks, perhaps the compromise could be giving that to the alt medic class. Could even give that layout a different gun.

hell no ! I really dont like the idea ! Medpacks have to be all the same like ammo pack. universal item.
Dont make an over complicated game, keep it Simple & effective please !

I also prefer the instant medpacks. The problem is self-healing and the indirect packs is to broad a measure for a specific solution. I still really really want to try out getting rid of selfheal and then regenerate hp for each team-mated healed. And then the medic weapon can be boosted as well.

Remember that the thought behind the medic weapon is that it has enough of a low spread at the initial 6-8 shots that they all land directly on target. This is why sometimes you might get dropped super fast by a medic. After those first shots however the medic weapon becomes an SMG. This is of course there so that medic can still kill stuff, but not to the multi-kill efficiency that soldier or fops can; otherwise why not have everyone play medic? The weapon itself actually makes medic very appealing at side-raging a clumped group of players as the faster RoF and wider spread at max can result in some big cleanup kill streaks. Maybe we should try increasing the delay to full creep spread if we want to change anything??? Something like 8-10 bullets before the noticeable creep spread starts seems okay to me.
