"Medic" to "Supplier"?

Even tho I don´t think that it´s beneficial for the class variety, I don´t agree with the general idea of how super op he would be. He for sure would be the most played class, because he would allow the people to just kill, whats the core of every fps in the end, without bothering too much about other stuff. But he wouldn´t be op in a 1v1 against a fragger, neither have the defensive power of an enginer, the tactical kill power of an sniper nor the ability to kill multiple targets with a single skill/airstrike.

Without arguing much about the supplier here now. People will find out which class is suited best for sustaind fragging anyways, and then stick to it. Doesn´t matter if it´s a fops, this so called “supplier” or maybe just the medic in the end. Because of that I think it´s the best way to design a specific class that allows them to have fun, and benefits the team somehow. I don´t think that the current situation, with the fops is the best tho. The team ends up having 50% fops, that just dont even use their airstrikes and is just throwing arround amo, no one really needs. In my eyes thats at least as bad as having a “rambo medic”. Probably even worse, because in the end everyone has to wait ages for some med packs. How many people really live long enough, to need more amo?
To be honest, I am one of this 50% fops, and what do I do? I run arround trying to kill some people and if I don´t I just camp behind walls and wait until I am regened up, because no one wants to play medic. Don´t know how beneficial this is for the gameplay.

Edit: In case you nerf both supplier classes, people will just run arround as fragger, or engineers, and you won´t even get amo or health anymore.

“Buff medic plz so I can rambo like I used to”

Buff medic, so they actually get played.
It will take a while for the CB testers to draw that conclusion though.
Because it wasn’t a YES/NO idea, and maybe it’s nice to have discussion about new ideas for class dynamics?

Everyone acts like the sky is falling with every idea…?
It’s not every idea. It’s ideas that aren’t well thought out.

Ammo and Health on the same merc immediately screams rambo. I find funny you would even suggest since you know all the ET Warriors and SD are petrified of rambo classes (hence medic being so awful right now.) The suggestions to counter the ramboness of the merc, give him a terrible weapon, remove revive, and he can’t heal or give ammo to himself. Well, what’s the ****en point in playing the merc? Is it to run around and throw packs every where, while having your sprint canceled every .5 seconds as you lob another pack? Why would anyone play that merc when no one plays a medic right now because his weapon and abilities are below average?

Now, if you would have suggested, “Hey, lets make Medic a Supplier class, and each merc assigned to that class can either throw ammo or health. Now we can free an ability slot on the LT.” (mind you they already have the coolest abilities in the game.) I would say, hmm, that’s an interesting approach that would be worth discussing. Not trying to balance some bastardized medic/lt hybrid that has damn near 0% chance of even hitting the “Potential Merc Board” in SDs office (assuming they have one.) -_-

I believe removing ammo from the Lt and giving it to another class greatly reduces his viability competitively. I believe slowly people will move to the soldier class instead. My 2c.

Weapons and abilities are not stuck at a set value, oddly enough. The game is currently in development.

Congrats, you got that. Read op.

Medics have been nerfed/below average for 9 if not more months. There have been endless pages of discussion about their state with no changes but more nerfs to the new medics primary (slight buff to ability.)

So until their is some sort of statement indicating they will be buffed, I will base it off their current state.

There is a rather large difference between the word or and the word and.

For instance, would you like to have this million dollar home OR 1,000,000 dollars.

Vs

How about you have this million dollar home AND 1,000,000 dollars.

Oh horrors. good thing you were hear to introduce the word to the discussion.
