Medic Ninja Twins

(Krunkster) #1

So I was playing on PS3 last night with a group, and we were facing off against two guys who developed a strange system that’s really frustrating.
Two Light Medics with Speed Boost dressed in the same exact outfit.
They are flying around at an amazing speed, I really can’t stress how fast they were moving.
And they constantly were sliding, and staying in melee range, generally really hard to aim at.
I think they probably had metabolism and health boost too, because they did not go down easily at all.
Anyone else seen this before? I did not catch their user names.

Sounds cool to me. What’s wrong with some originality and unorthodox strategy. Oh, and I am a twin. Nothing wrong with em!

I’m not trying to complain, but I think it was really pretty effective.
Good for them, bad for me playing against them.
We got held for over 15 minutes with Necheve in the fence area… So Close!

Did they knife you a ton? If so that’s my alter ego split in two.

Sounds amusing! Maybe some Caltrops would have done the trick? And shotguns!

I may have been in the game with you, most of my group was on the other team owning and they had a guy who wasnt even playing for a few hours (just sat in spawns match after match). If it was the exact game i was in and went through then what the big prob was

  • NO ONE buffed/revived anyone not right in their face,
  • 9/10 times I buffed players health and metabolism they wouldnt even look back at me to consider buffing me back.
  • Almost everyone sprinted out of the spawn and ran almost the same exact route and into the same traps and defensive strong points life after life after life.
  • No more then a group of 3-4 ever showed up to a fight at the same time, more likely then not it was just single file running and getting mowed down in order with no attempt to put any strategy or thought into the plan.
  • Until the last 2-3min of the match there were only TWO medics and I was one of them and the sole reason he even got halfway through the fences.

It was by far one of my most unfun matches thus far including another I was in with mostly randoms. Matches like this make me wish I had a team of AI BOTs over the human randoms, atleast the bots have some strategy to them along with being more reliable help and not brainless lone wolves who only know the sprint and shoot button. To me this game is almost unplayable when I am not on a team with atleast half being actual online friends of mine (pref. with mics), the zero communication and just pointless nature of the game when you have no one working together toward a common goal ruins it. No one wants to spend a whole match running into a slaughterhouse one at a time for 10-20+min (except COD fans), atleast not anyone trying to play a Team Based Objective Driven FPS game.

@Oschino1907
Yep that was the game… We see you on a lot when we play on Monday nights.
We called you “Ocho Cinco” for the longest time.
We use skype because the PS3 audio quality is such garbage.

It was truly a depressing match, and I’m sure we could have played better, but we did so well at the beginning of the match that we lost focus towards the end and got disjointed. We definitely needed more medics, and I did switch at the end, but it was too late.

I (MyName69) buff peeps outside of our group all the time, so hopefully you got some.

First let me start with this, its pronounced O-Ski-No, I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and I dont like the Bengals and really really dont like Chad (Ocho Cinco) Johnson.

Lol ok now back to the topic. Well you guys buffed each other alot, not so much others outside of your group, no one and i mean NO ONE that spawns with others should run off and sprint to the battle without buffing and getting buffed by those also respawning and chances are it would be better for all of you to stay at the same pace so you show up as a group and not one at a time becasue everyone is racing to get there first.

You lost focus the second you assumed you were doing everything right and didnt count on the other team slackin off and not being prepared with their classes at the start of the match (i was with them match before but wanted to add a new ability and came back on your team). The fact that you were able to grab the data and get it to the infirmary with praticaly no resistance is because they were asleep and still tryin to flank us by the time we stole it. No way had they been back there you would have gotten it with only 1-2 people guarding you, I play with them daily and we often hold people off at the infirmary.

Hahahahahaha I recall feeling as if the match was over and not winable with about 15-20min or so left and it felt luck pure luck that we even rolled through them so fast at the start. Cant tell you guys how many times someone just did something that made we think WTF, the whole match was like that, def one of the worst matches I have been in, rather get spawn camped then go through a match like that anyday. Felt like everyone just kept running off the same cliff expecting there to suddenly be a bridge to victory.

I mean really even if you forget and throw out all the other problems and bad ideas that were goin on that match and focus just on the lack of medics it was a total epic fail match. Come on, we plowed through the start, had 20+min to escort, only 2 medics get him 75% there within 5min through pure momentum and me being attached to the hip of the escort. Once we get stopped at the gate we barely moved for the next 15min and the cycle of spawn/sprint/death began and it took over 10min of this before 2others finaly decided to switch to medic one of whom (not from your group) didnt revive single person after switching as they were only worried about the escort which they didnt even get close enough to look at. But following the same formula with medics doesnt help, its still spawn/sprint/death. Only reason he got halfway through the fences is cause ME as a heavy slow **** was able to sneek around with the endless distraction you all provided with your death fields and I was able to revive him 2-3 times and get him another 10-20feet each time by myself.

Lol sorry for the rant but you should have heard me once I rejoined my team after the match teling them how pissed I was that I was on the other team… Hahahaha sorry but we would mop the floor with you guys anyday especially with me on their team as I tend to be the one to call for Slowing the game down and putting together a plan and doing so as a group or full team.

Ok, we’ll see you around I’m sure.
Tell those “medic ninja twins” that they found a sweet combo.

(chamber666) #10

i have to agree on the pathetic lack of buffing teammates that seems to be the new status quo lately. i’ve barely been revived in matches by PC and NPC alike and good luck getting an engineer to buff your damage even if you throw every buff you have at him

Hahahaha they are the “Twins” (and roomates) but they also have atleast 2-3 other “Brothers” (including myself) that have basically the same class/bodytype set ups and look, just some diff abilities or colors of outfit. Like I said we try to communicate a lot and use our characters to back up anothers, rarely anyone running off on their own. If you want an Invite to our Big Teams Only! chat let me or one of us know. Usually always someone in there that can link you to a game with others when your friends arent on and we all play together and have mics or listen and work well with each other.

Lately ? Are you sure it was better ? Maybe all the good people have left Brink already ?

I was on this last night too - joined the forums to chime in b/c the epic hold at the gate was (i think) more luck and weirdness than any sort of skill… it was sorta fun on sec, but i got bumped from the server and missed some of the middle choke point, and figured "oh, necheyev is almost there, this should end soon. lol

also saw ‘micology’ (the static dude on my team) - even knocked him down with a grenade to try and wake him/her up…ha

i saw the ninja medics too. i’m sure they saw me spraying my AR every place but where they were sliding. my best weapon was cortex bomb…haha

I usually use op or eng and know what I need to do to help my team w/o voice chat, but last night just about converted me to using a mic. I was hacking a turret on more than one occasion when my teammate blew it (and some of me) up with a grenade.

same team!

Saw a similar tactic on the PC, two light medics buffed up on Shipyard, part 2. They were basically running right round the back and side, past the gun sentry at resistance spawn, and then slaughtering anyone sniping from the ridge. Really impressive teamwork, caused no end of hassles.
